VasilisVas 5,164
Hi everyone!! Hope everyone's doing well. So I remember a while ago it was stated that Gaga's new music was heavily inspired by American Horror Story. Do you guys think that this still pertains? Or do you think that things may have taken a twist. Maybe we probably won't really know until we hear the music, but what do you guy think? If her new album is truly inspired by AHS, I imagine it would be something dark. Most of my favorite Gaga songs are her darker songs, but I'm interested in seeing what direction this new album will take. What are your thoughts? I dont think it will be too dark, but I think it may be quite deep and dark lyrically reading in between it and I think that is what mark said to/
Dorothy Gale 7,575
I don't see how AHS could influence an album. Maybe she realized how to better emote through her music? That's the only thing I could think of.

HEARTHUNTER 7,611
After AHS, I expected her to go in a darker and more mature direction than TFM, lyrically and sonically, with a more organic sound as well. But since she started working with Mark Ronson I feel the direction quite changed, but I hope it remains dark

Bad Romance, Dance in The Dark, and Speechless. As much as people complain about Teeth, that song is pretty genius lyrically and musically, too. It was completely different than anything else any other pop star out there did.

I agree with everything else anyways.

I mean that through acting she had a deeper realization on how to project her emotion through her voice etc.

VIsually, from what we've seen so far, with ladygaga.com and her instagram posts, it doesn't look like it's going to be very dark, but quite organic, actually. The darkness will be within. I kinda find ARTPOP quite "selfish" compared to the other works. God I love DWUW though
