Let's just enjoy the first week of the album because the rest of the year is going to be tragic. Joanne got less than 1.2k pre-orders in the last 24 hours on US iTunes :emma:

how do we know that? @Luc

PI's sales give an indication (though there's probably people who bought PI and are now pre-ordering Joanne but not many people bought PI :rip: )

I'm pretty sure preorder instant grat's don't count towards the itunes chart anymore, it's number one on the pre order chart, whose accuracy is unknown, but still

But if you pre-order it, it does appear as a new sale. Just when a new song is released it doesn't jump right to #1. Right? Because otherwise the second PI version would've never gotten that many sales you'd think.

I'm kind of confused buy what you're saying but when the preorder was put up people started buying that version of PI over the single and the single was replaced.

Pre-orders and instant grats don't contribute to any iTunes charts. Album sales accumulate for the release day. Instant grats only contribute to the Hot 100 but the sales are deducted from the single when the album is released.

The album's PI took over PI - Single.

Gaga's comments about Madonna (which really sound like she misspoke btw) might not be good for public reaction this week

Basically when you see any songs increasing on iTunes now, they are strictly increases by people who have not pre-ordered the album.
