Studio version will probably more 'punchy' / complete / pop-ish. Both would be weak lead singles, but at least Million Reasons has a ''normal'' pop structure and her vocals aren't aggressive. It would also have a built-in excuse if it flopped lmao. This isn't an Applause situation where the song was a steady top 10 hit but there were one or two other songs that had potential to be bigger than that. PI did nothing on the charts so I think any of these other songs would have been better leads cause they're higher quality and more representative of the album.
