I personally wouldn't mind if the album was delayed to give her time to put a hit out. The consequences of an album doing as bad as Joanne will do will pretty bad for her next record since Interscope won't invest any money or time into it and the tour sales will not be good.

Usually when someone says they could do a job better than a professional I laugh because they have no idea what they're talking about, but I genuinely believe that the people in this thread could have managed this mess of an era 100x better. I get not wanting to promote, but this era is just messy and full of idiotic mistakes.

It's not like there will be a new album within the next 5 years so it doesn't matter

If her team aren't complete idiots they will push Million Reasons to radio on monday, do an interview or two to get the ball rolling and send flowers to everyone so they feel inclined to play it. On friday they will do Z100 with Elvis Duran and talk about the album during rush hour. Put PI on discount to give it one last push before it falls off the chart. They will do SNL and perform Million Reasons along with an uptempo song (not PI though). Throughout the week she would do an interview and perform on Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Carpool Karaoke, and a couple other talk shows. They would also run ads in big newspapers, online, and through youtube. They would buy a spotify and apple music banner and a whole row on the itunes front page. Throughout the week she would do radio interviews in the morning as well. 

Of course this will never happen and she will do SNL and Carpool Karaoke and then go on a blackout the rest of the week with no song currently sent to radio
