The Alejandro video was the first sign and Born This Way just sealed the deal. Nobody likes their female popstar to be politcal, progressive and aggressive. That's why Beyoncé waited like 19 years into her career to say something like "Black people still suffer from racism." And it still cost her lots of fans lmfao. Rise flopped because Katy performed it at a democratic political event and NBC was afraid that would alienate their conservative viewers.
