I think that releasing a floppy 1st lead single is going to be more harmful than just releasing it out of the blue, like Beyoncé. By now, everyone is starting to classify PI as awful, a flop, etc and those views may hurt the album reception. But oh well, there was not way for her/her team to predict this.
