Not true. Do What U Want was a major smash waiting to happen that didn't because of a lack of a video. I couldn't disagree more when people say this. If it were true, labels wouldn't waste time and money sending their artists everywhere.

Then you tell me about Zara Larssons "Ain't My Fault", climbing like a rocket and all she has done is releasing the song. I don't buy your argument fully. I mean sure, you're right, but you can't apply that for all situations.

It could've been much different with a few small changes. Release the video on Monday following single release, put the album for pre-order when title/cover is unveiled, do a few TV interviews. Instead the video wasn't even finished, the album cover/title was randomly put out via Beats 1, and she has yet to appear on US tv a SINGLE TIME to even mention she has new music out. :rip:

Just like you can't apply "the song is strong enough it'll sell itself" to every situation. That definitely was not the case with Bad Romance, Uptown Funk, and other huge smashes that required a bit of a push and became career-defining hits.

I would recommend for a lot of you to take a break this weekend because following PI will be ugly right now. It's going to tumble hard over the weekend and rolling effect won't look pretty.

Can't we all just agree that PI wasn't good as a lead? We can have different opinions about the song itself, but it was a bad lead.. especially when she says that it's not indicative of the album

No. Your fav Miley had 2 smash singles that started similar to Perfect illusion.

Perfect Illusion, to me, is her weakest lead single yet. And i'm thinking this since the day it came out. The management has been a mess though so that doesn't help cause a majority of people seem to like the song.

Don't quote me.

It's so predictable for fans to claim a song is bad once it starts falling. Once the song starts rising and doing well people will start praising the song again. Just stop :neyde:
