Let's look at the number 1 singles of this year: Sorry and Love Yourself both went #1 weeks after debuting One Dance took ages to get #1 and stayed there for like 9 weeks Cheap Thrills also took months to get #1 Work took a few weeks to get #1 and stayed there for ages Closer went #1 like a month after debuting. The song is doing fine on sales, great on radio and better than expected on YouTube and Spotify streams.
