I'm just hoping it stays top 20. If radios start to play her from tomorrow thanks to her interviews over the weekend she may be able to hang on in the top ten. Especially if the video comes. She could have easily put out a generic pop song like JT did with his comeback. I'm glad she released this song instead because she's still taking risks. I don't have to worry about having a meltdown if it doesn't go #1 because it's not a crazy pop song like we expected. I'm happy just blasting it in my car and having no expectations with chart success. I like that it's different. 3 years ago I would have been upset. How times have changed :-). how is this song not generic? everything from its 3min length to its repetitive lyrics and key change screams generic. it's just not a very good song. hence the underwhelming reaction. However some folks on Buzzjack (chart geeks) seem to say that a drop on day 2 for a new release in streaming is normal after fan rush/general curiosity, kinda like on iTunes I guess. So that's a slice of hope to hold onto I suppose. If it drops out of the top 10 it will not debut in the top 40 i dont think, oh well, I love the song, hopefully the albums does better THE UK HATE POP ACTS, PLUS FEMALE SINGERS ARE ALL STRUGGLING :P LOOK AT ARIANA AND ZARA TO

Christina 1,027
I don't really think it has to debut in the top 10, even though it would be ideal. Like FATCAT said in another thread, not all successful songs debut in the top 10 or even top 40. Let's hope the GP picks it up in the next few days. And let's hope the hype for Closer dies down. I love the song, I think it has potential to be a hit. But I wonder how the GP will react to it, since most of it doesn't even know that Gaga released. I hope for the best, Gaga deserves it. It makes sense, the promo era is just starting anyway.

Stop caring about what Gaga HATERS say, it just makes you angry or sad. You were so positive during CTC, keep that attitude. ATRL is filth anyway. I mean http://atrl.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1055201&page=5 Rise debuted 25 Make Me 42... Because she is still the most iconic young Pop Star these days the reason why Britney is still relevant today after her sales dropped, she was the most iconic of the 2000s) + she has the noisiest Fanbase around, maybe after the Madonna's one, except that the age range is not the same, and so is the relevance in Social Networks and so on. (let alone the fact the Madonna's Fans defend her whichever she does) The bigger the Star, the bigger the target. And the thing that pisses me off the more, to be quite honest, is that wherever I read, the first one to whine about the sales, shadowing the quality of music and exaggerating things (the number you brought here are a proof of it) are the LM themselves. Sometimes I have the impression we cry and scream so much we can't let the GP discover a song little by little, as a song as PI should be. They treat her as a Internet Sensation, not as a legitimate Musician. And that is quite silly. Let's face the truth, since a while now there's a big crack between what Gaga wants to be and what her Fanbase wishes she was. She changes, she tries to get free of the Major's strings, and all you can hear is "Give us The Fame ! This is not the Fame !" shouted by her devoted fans all over the place. They keep on giving the GP the impression she is constantly struggling to manage her career, which she is not. And that is the worst image you can give of a Pop Star, expecially in this over exposed Internet Era. That's what I think. I'm a real Fire CRRRACKERRR
VforVendetta 2,024
Personally I feel very positive. The single needs time and all the members that have some basic experience in charts can acknowledge that. With PI I feel that Gaga is building the groud for a great Era. I feel somewhat like with Just Dance and Pokerface...
