More like gore-based drama. Just because everyone cuts each other's throat doesn't mean it's horror.

I just miss the mystery like in the first season. That's how a horrow show should be, something weird happens and you don't know who did it and why and by the end of the season you start to find out slowly.

I said horror based drama. That does not mean it has to be horrifying. However, you seem to be missing the entire idea that was the serial killer facet of Hotel and also the addiction demon. Just because they're not focused upon does not mean they're not horrifying.

Please look at TVtropes and educate yourself.

Also, it is American. Which essentially means gore. This show is meant to appeal to the public, not horror story junkies.

'Educate myself' lol...

Horror shows and movies HAVE to be scary. That's the point. Most modern horror movies are american AND scary what does it being american have to do with it? The show would appeal to the public if it was actually scary, everyone who watches a show called American HORROR Story is prepared to be spooked. Have you not seen the decline in viewership after the first 3 episodes each season?

Also if they wanted it to be just a gorey drama they could have gone the route of True Blood which doesnt market itself as scary even though its gorey as hell. They are calling it HORROR in the title and the teasers are actually scary but the show isn't. I still like the show but it simply isn't a "horror" story anymore.

It was never a horror story in the first place. It was horror inspired drama. It is more along the lines of thriller than actual horror.

Nothing about the show is actually meant to be horrifying. Especially not when, what is scary to one person is completely mundane to another. Asylum is the only season I could say is actually horror.

And what? Are you supposed to change an entire franchise name when it doesn't exactly fit the genre anymore? I'm sorry, if Final Fantasy didn't do it, I see no point in American horror Story doing it.

some of you might want to look up what drama, horror, and thriller—in terms of being genres—mean. :classy:

lol remember the mattress? They hyped the **** out of it and it was barely relevant to the Hotel's plot :smh: And what about the floating witches from Coven? The white nun?

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
