Also i think she doesnt wanna maybe get f*****ng bullied?? everyone knows her voice isnt great (which i disagree with, watch the youtube videos on how hollywood messed her voice up for profit) and she probably does too? Like literally its not rocket science, shes britney - everyone impersonates her. Shes not gunna want to sing when you hunties just rip her. #stopthedramastartthemusic

"perform, not just sing" how is there a way of performing without not singing well? or at all! flailing around is not a form of performance, if you can call her dancing and half-hearted arm movements that.

her fans have this delusion that she once sang well, and hate to break it to ya but she never could.

You can perform without singing.. Just like you can sing without performing. Her performance includes her choreography, dancers, outfits, stage presence..etc. When she's in the zone (no pun intended) she's incredibly entertaining to watch. The spectacle that is a Britney Spears show has never included live vocals and she's still managed to be extremely successful. Everyone knows Britney's voice isn't her selling point. It's the hits and the entire production of the stage show combined with her stage presence and energy. The fact that she's more than capable of selling tickets is proof enough that she's an entertaining performer, despite not singing a single note.

I'll let the Britney stans dig up old videos of her natural voice for proof of her former vocal talent.

depends on who are we talking about..........when it comes to Britney no one is going to see her sing live......they are going so they can say i was at Britney's show........but when you go to Gaga's show you expect live singing and a good show at the same time.................also When peopole go to Madona's show they g o because she is THE MADONNA they wanna se her because of her name not because of her new music.........

I've got an "F" and a "C" and I got a "K" too And the only thing that is missing is a bitch like "U"

Well, the old "different strokes for different folks" still applies...
Despite the lip-syncing, there's still a number of ppl who enjoy what Britney does and are excited to watch her - so it's not like she's been "given" a spot, she earned it by appealing to that audience...I think there will be (and should always be) room for every kind of act, as long as there are ppl are interested in them. You know, whoever is on the stage, even if he/she is not my thing, it doesn't mean he/she shouldn't be anybody else's thing...

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

In Britney's case, I think that most fans let it slide because she's shown that she can sing in the past, and her fans still love her because they view her more as an entertainer, rather than just a singer. I've gone to see her Vegas show twice now, and it's certainly entertaining. By now, her fans know what they get when they buy her albums or tickets to her shows. In that sense, I think it's justifiable for her to have the success that she has, and as long as there are people who are interested in seeing them perform, it is justifible to give people who lipsync a stage in my opinion.

Yea tbh, Britney proved herself already and gave us and pop itself so much, Britney is a legend and an icon at this point. She hasn't always lip-synced, it only started with the Blackout era and we all know why.

Britney is an exception because of all the goodwill she built up for years, when she was at her peak. As someone else said, if she were a new artist coming onto the scene, it probably wouldn't work.

My only complaint is that she doesn't ever record a separate live track for her songs. Everytime she performs, the vocals sound identical to the album (because it is the album) and any illusion she's trying to create by mouthing the lyrics just looks silly.

I'm not expecting her to sing live after all these years, but I wish she would at least pre-record the vocals so it doesn't sound exactly like the studio track... tbh yesterday she wasn't even trying to lip-sync anymore, it was too obvious.

I was happy to see her having so much fun on stage, and although it wasn't memorable or incredible, I enjoyed a lot watching her take the stage again, that Me & Myself cover was a nice surprise.

Let the free market do its thing in this case, if Britney's miming really upset people so much, then they should stop supporting her but she'll probably continue making millions placing high on the highest paid female musician list for years to come.
