Nope we now know that quantum entanglement reactions can travel at least 10,000 times faster than light. Some Galaxies are traveling appart from eachother faster than light, we know this by their red shift in light. If space expands faster than light, then whatever the fabric of space is made up of (unknown) fills in more quickly than that Theres a lot we still dont know. With populations, C02 Emissions, and global temperatures rising exponentially; it could cause the end of us as we know it. Rising temperatures + Pollution = Intense Greenhouse Gases that don't let light escape our atmosphere. This in turn causes our food sources to die, due to climate fluctuations. Plus, with the population out of control, people start to starve and die off. This is where intense diseases and virus' come in, because they thrive in our hot world. It spreads worse than a wildfire, and sooner than later our fresh water resources are either depleted or too badly infected with diseases. I mean, this might not happen. However, it very well could Earths population is peaking (by 2050 estimates place it) and CO2 emissions from Coal are already falling. Perhaps a temperature within a certain range as most molecules dont have much reaction at too low temperatures but become caotic and unstable at high temperatures making life unlikely to evolve outside goldilocks Also Earth has gas giants that absorb large asteroids. Most types of life regardless of what makes them up may find it difficult to survive if they planet was always under bombardment and its climate in turn never stayed stable for long Any life based on genes with DNA (all we know of so far) could never exist in a planet without protection from UV Rays as they would constantly destroy any bonds of evolvement that would begin Then theres the fact that anything complex requires a mix of ingredients. Whether its a star, or life, nothing complex that we know of exists with only 1 element... As such most planets which are made up of specific things wouldnt give much of a chance for any combination. Earth is very diverse in different resources and elements U gotta admit. An earth like planet has many advantages for life even if life wasnt like us. It allows for stability in climate, and rich in diversity of sources that could combine for life A planet thats just a big rock without diverse elements, without any kind of protectiom from spaces caotic elements isnt likely to harbor life Hence probably why Earth has life, none of our other planets in Solar System have any Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
