Economy 53,144
http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/technology/earth-like-planet-proxima-centauri-1.3733882 After searching all over Galaxy for Earth like planet which only make up a tiny portion of planets, one was recently discovered only 4 light years away on the nearest star system "Proximus Centari" Planet is only slightly larger than Earth meaning if the density is simmilar, it could contain a simmilar gravity which would allow the planet ti possibly maintain an atmosphere simmilar to our own It also appears to be in the goldilocks zone not too close and not too far away from sun allowing for liquid water
Economy 53,144
In my opinion, if by any chance the planet contains life, were not enteracting with it... Its soooooo close by space standards that if anyone advanced lived there, they would of found us by now. So either they dont care to contact us, or theres no advanced civilization there The other possibility is that if theres life, its in a primative stage of development. Maybe no intelligent life the probabilities of an alien life being anywhere near our specific level of development is super low. Either way more primative or way more advanced is likely

Yuuri 21,636
We shouldn't go to other planets, until we fix the sh*t we've done to this one.
Dominic 11,922
This is a massive discovery however it does say in the article that due to x-rays life would have to exist below the surface making it problematic. Considering the amount of planets we've discovered in the goldilocks region it's incredible that this may be the very first one which we can really study due to its close distance. I agree though the chance of intelligent life is extremely slim. If there are present then it's more likely microbial or very primitive. Considering a species to be more advanced than us would mean they would have the ability to travel faster than the speed of light, if that was the case they would have made their presence known as it's such a short distance. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it
Lona Delery 7,227
well earth-like planets are found every now and then, nothing special. Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride
