Hardly. Her music is still played so much on the radio. I was on vacation in Las Vegas earlier this month and I heard several of her songs blasted in public places (Not "Rise", but I did hear "Unconditionally" in a restaurant. People still call that a flop? I heard it more times in stores and restaurants than I heard Applause on the radio. :deadbanana:) and I heard NO Gaga at all... and then of course Gaga announces PI as soon as I get back. :nails:

I wouldn't say "over" but I feel like she might hit a bump during her next era. Beyonce had it with 4, Rhi with ANTi, Gaga with ARTPOP, etc. Its bound to happen to her sonner or later.

Work and NEeded Me were successful:giggle:and anti is the best rihanna album:golfclap: ANd Love On The Brain is coming to slay next

but yeah i feel katy might get her 4/ARTPOP:giggle::creepflop:

No. She may not be very talented, but she tends to work with the right people to craft songs that are easy to like and sing a long to, which is crucial for pop music.

Yes, I think that is part of it for sure. She set chart records with Teenage Dream, tying Michael Jackson's record from 1988 of the most number one singles from 1 album, but she did it by gaming the system by releasing her singles with unnecessary "featured artists" to help boost her iTunes downloads. She made a "remix" of ET adding Kanye West and a remix of TGIF adding Missy Elliott. The only way she hit 5 number ones was by tacking on a hip-hop act who had a slightly different fan base who would secure her the additional iTunes downloads needed to hit #1.

And on top of all that, I think it's obvious she ran a **** ton of Promoted Account ads on Twitter to become the most followed person.

Point is --- yes, I think she's been fueled by her own carefully crafted hype for years. And I think her brand is finally aged enough that the younger generation isn't buying it any more.

Plus, the fact that nearly all her hits came from Dr. Luke can't be helping matters either.

I love everytime you say something no matter what :staymad:

Katy over? No, but she had one damn job last era: Teenage Dream Part 2 or Dark Phase, and instead she gave us Prism...so, very little faith right now.

she's not over yet (she should because of her bitchy promo moves but she is not).

but I can't see good thing coming for her on the future, she's not very talented, she really depends of Martin and Luke to have her hits, I'm sure she is still working with Luke after the Kesha's issue, probably as a ghostwriter but people eventually will notice it and will come for her butt.

+ the release of Rise may have killed her comeback hype, so she really needs to play her cards right if she want to be a pop hoe a little bit more
