Even with all the positive attention she's received over the past couple of years I don't think she's in a place where the fact it's a new Gaga single would alone be enough to send it to the top of the charts, regardless of how it actually sounds. I think it's gonna have to be incredible (which of course it will be) and really resonate immediately with casual fans and the rest of the public in order to debut at Number 1. It could happen, it seems like she's coming for blood. I actually kind of want it to debut somewhere in the top 5 and then rise to the top spot and sit there for a few weeks. It would be symbolic in a way, a nice metaphor for this new stage of her career and it would prove her staying power.
