Quick question, how did adele do so well with her album? I know it was obviously a smash hit but I'm curious as to how it became such a hit.. Please lmn if any of you guys know! Because she is Adele. Simple enough lol. Any of her lead singles will go straight to #1 by hype only. She's a goddess to the GP. Everyone loves her

'closer' by chainsmokers lyric video has 74M views on youtube after 3 weeks.... 'cold water' has almost 120M after a month... I think Gaga can get good numbers. The Chainsmokers are coming off of two highly successful singles though. They have already eased into the streaming era. Cold Water also isn't a fair comparison. Anything JB releases is destined to be a streaming monster. Gaga is coming off of 6+ months of complete silence. It will take a while for her to get high streams, that's why I kept my streaming predictions on the low side.
Brainy 117
That is kind of scary news... Especially since Gaga only has 5.2 million months listeners on Spotify. Where Rihanna is at 30.2 million and Britney Spears being at 11.5 monthly listeners. Obviously her numbers will increase once dropping new music. But is it going to be enough? Ah, I'm scared lol

Anyways I'm excited to see what this era has in store for us!

Britney reached 4.5M with almost no promotion and since Gaga is more in GP's minds than Britney, I think 8M would be possible. If the Music Video is good she could even pass 12-15M in the first Week. With Applause we were at 11.5M so she'd be able to do the same again. Gaga obviously has a Radio Deal with iHeart Radio, which means her Audience will be huge. I am quite confident and say - do not go for a MV in the debut Week. There are Songs that leave the Top 10 on iTunes within the first Week, and I don't want Gaga to have a Top 10 debut and then be out of the Hot 100 after 4 Weeks. I'd rather have longevity. So what do you think its chart run will be like? 12-?-?-?-etc.

Do you think it would be a good strategy to release the music video on a Monday (17 days after the single release) so that way it gets a decent portion of points in the week it was released and also the following week? Allot of artist have been doing that now like Meghan with NØ. Here was it's chart run: 11-12-6-3 Or would you want it on the Friday exactly 2 weeks after the single? yASSsss 35,510
she better not.I want to be hyped for the MV.Releasing the single and the MV on the same date would kill the anticipation .There would be nothing exciting to look forward to for this single except a few interviews or tv performances. plus,She needs to have longevity and this is not a good strategy.I mean,Rise debuted at # 12 on BB hot 100 but look where's that song now.point is a higher debut doesn't really mean anything. It's the pop forum fans that care about the debut positions and such.A song can be a huge hit without debuting in top 10 Call me by your name and I'll call you by mine
Trademark 678
Yes she needs to debut the video the same day as the song gets released. I'm here for a #1 peak.
