you guys act like shes an up and coming struggling artist :smh: she doesnt need the money, shes literally set for life. her label only gave her creative freedom when she was the IT girl, the minute she became less popular, they tightened the leash, and her ****ing manager quit the day before an album was released. she should move to wherever twigs is signed, maybe she'll take notes on creative music videos...

twigs is with an independent label

i can see gaga setting up her own label at some point

Personally, Gaga should go independent. Interscope is BIG money and ultimately tells her what she can and cannot do because of the contract she signed. It would be in her best interest to leave and create her own label. She totally has the money to do so.

I'm hoping they get the single choises right this time and stick to their guns. The mess of ARTPOP and BTW single changes last minute, on,y giving Gaga a week to sort out music videos etc... This era needs to be managed correctly not just from Gaga's management but the records label control too. I hope they don't do that iTunes pre order with songs coming out on count down to release of the album, it does not work and messes up the single life cycle, we all know what happened with Judas/TEOG and Venus/DWUW...

I actually think The Edge of Glory was a better single choice than Judas. People love that song, Judas on the other hand has mixed reviews. I love Judas, but I knew it would fail on the radio. It's too much for the average listener.

I think it all depends on if Interscope gives her the creative freedom she wants with LG5.  Some artists may need to be guided or told what to do, but not Gaga.  If they mess things up this time, she may go indie, imo.

This situation is like a highly talented and intelligent job applicant going into a job interview.  It's the applicant that ends up interviewing the company, not the other way around.  Because it is obvious that whatever company lands that applicant will be the winner.  LG5 could be that way for Gaga.  If they don't do right by Gaga they will lose the profit potential of an amazing artist.

I live outside the space time continuum.

Lady Gaga will stay. Interscope is not perfect, but it's far and away the best option for Gaga. The only other label I could even see her going to would be XL, which is Twigs and Adele's label, but it's a British label.

Could this BlindGossip be about gaga?interscope http://blindgossip.com/?p=80475

"If your album sales have taken a dive over the past ten years and your label is trying to help you improve, the last thing you should do is dig in your heels and insist to the executives that you know more than they do about selling music.

You don’t.

You’re focusing on a lot of other junk that doesn’t make them money. They don’t care about your love life, your social media numbers, your little acting gigs or your promises to focus.

None of those things are selling records. And I know you know that all those distractions are partly to blame.

You’re ticking people off and they’re not going to put up with you for long. I’ll bet if you keep doing what you’re doing, you’re going to find yourself out of a home."
