Of course not. My point from the beginning was that a successful single is a successful single for the GP. You were the one that mentioned the #1s and the need for impressive catalogues. I used the sales to make you realise that Gaga's catalogue of singles is quite impressive regardless of the fact that she doesn't have many #1...

It IS impressive. There's no denying. But say for example you were born 10 years into the future and you are looking into the 2000s-2010s era music--who do you think will pique your curiosity? An artist who has 3 #1s or one who has 10 #1s?

I'm just saying it will ADD to her legacy if she gets at least one more #1 for LG5.

Sure it might but I don't think that the main reason to like an artist is commercial success. #1s do give some respect though...

How did they rank them? By sales? I'm a bit confused

Peaks + weeks on the chart(longevity) + sales

Mickael Jackson and Madonna had a lot of #1s, it clearly helped them to have a strong legacy

Their influental image and the impact of their music is what mde and kept their legacy. Sales do matter but they are far from the most important qualitites of the artist...

Perfect Illusion will knock Applause out of the top 5, maybe even make it to #4
