Gaga was just luckier to become successful before Natalia and start  the "darker" themes. That doesn't make Natalia a copycat, right?

Natalia has never been herself anyways. Verbalicious and whoever she is now, she is clearly a jumper on the band wagon, deny it all you want but owning up to it and realising it doesn't make the music and visual any less good just means you know her references.

I didn't even watch it because of the thumbnail alone :smh:

Nothing about their music, their lyrics, their vocals -- even their harmony styles -- are similar. People need to stop. They both like high fashion. So what?

The only similarity between them is the fact that they both worked with Fernando Garribay. Nothing more. A lot of Gaga fans can be very delusional or overprotective, but that's a symptom of stan culture in general. :deadbanana:

THIS! It's not copying, it's references, it's the bandwagon that Gaga started/brought back

Who knows how Natalia Kills could end up looking if it wasn't for Gaga at that time... I'm not saying she's stealing from Gaga, she was just heavily influenced at that timee - her fashion, music, music videos, genre, manager or whatever

Also it's important how you put together those references, Gaga won at doing those things. She knows POP culture from it's core.

They can't scare me, if I scare them first.

Also, to prove that I'm not trying to bash you or Natalia I must say, video you've posted is as ridiculous as this one :madge:

She wasn't inspired. That's who she is. And it happened to be similar with what Gaga was doing. And also, at the same time with Gaga.

excuse me but this video is proof enough

it's not that "Gaga invented covering her eye" but it's not coincidental either how Natalia does the same gimmicks

I agree, and I hate the word "copy", I use the word "Inspiration" because no artist is completely original they all have idols and inspirations they look up to.

Now.. I'm sitting and watching this video and thinking "This is the worst video I've ever watched"

It's just 2 minutes, so take time and watch it!

This video makes no sense.

- Natalia is just covering her eye. Did Gaga invent the eye covering?

- Natalia is just throwing money in her video. Did Gaga invent throwing money?

- Natalia is just shaking her head in her music video. Did Gaga invent shaking head?

- Natalia is just wearing sunglasses. Did Gaga invent sunglasses?

- Natalia is just sitting on a car in her music video. Did Gaga invent sitting?

- She is just wearing a bob wig. Did Gaga invent the bob wigs?

- She has a TV in her video. Did Gaga invent the TV?

- She is just taking off her sunglasses in the music video. Did Gaga invent that too?

It's stupid how we always get mad when people accuse Gaga for copying Madonna for stupid things like this, but, at the same time, we accuse other artists of copying Gaga for the most random sh*t.

Thoughts?

Give me e proof that Natalia copied Gaga :interestinga: Okay, you'll send me that ice-cream looking wig, which is a total coincidence. But is there anything else? THERE'S NOT.

Keep your post on topic, either way they'll be reported.

Well did her husband invent a suit and greased hair?

It's not that she stole any particular look or style from Gaga, it's just the way she approached her career and when she debuted, It's obvious Interscope and will.i.am were pushing her as the next Gaga. From the sound of "Mirrors", the "artsy dark pop" a la The  Fame Monster, the avant garde looks, the pop concept album about vanity and sex, putting out a series called "Love, Kills" just like "The Fame Part 1" film..etc. It's just sad how much they tried to make her the next Gaga and it failed. Even working with Martin Kierszenbaum (Cherry Cherry Boom Boom) and Fernando Garibay couldn't save her album. I'm pretty sure she was even told not to mention Gaga and deny the comparisons.

And she definitely is a trend hopper. She went from rap in the early 2000s when it was big, to a Lil Mama "Lipgloss" sound after that was a hit, to a Nelly Furtado/Timbaland vibe, to a dark pop avant garde style when Gaga came out, then to an atmospheric melancholy urban sound when Lana came out, and now she's going for a alternative pop sound which may or may not be inspired by the rise of Halsey and other indie altpop girls? Lol
