The first disco records used a lot of synthesized sounds, but were still analog, since digital technology appeared much later. I think the best way to describe it is partly a larger use of real instruments, indeed, but also fewer to none computerized sounds and the eventual use of old synthesizers. What we can expect from this is a warmer, more organic sound. An example, to me, of a great contemporary pop analog record would be Goldfrapp's "Head First", which is a complete 80s throwback.
