Ever since Mark Ronson said LG5 will be "kind of analog", I've never really known what he meant. I've googled it but it isn't very clear as I know nothing about music from a technical perspective. Does anyone know what he meant by it?

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

Real instruments, less synthesizers, no manipulation with voice

I'm very worried about the voice part, I guess we'll get a lot of FrogGa and DopeGa this era, which I already hate

Well, that's definitely what Mark Ronson meant, but no, that is not what analog means. It refers to structure and shape of the waveform.

I think he meant that it sounds raw and not very polished? Kinda like Back to Black. Idk that's what I got from it.

Do you hear that? It's poison.

It means it wasn't really synthesized or recorded digitally straight to a computer. Vinyl and cassettes are analogue, just for reference of the types of technology used. It is an older technology but can produce a richer, warmer, more authentic sound.

It just means they've used tech without necesarily being computers, like how was music made in the 70s and 80s? They used synths too but they were still analog.
