GlitterAndGrease 594
Gaga (With a POP setlist), Britney or J.Lo please. The last mindblowing superbowl was Beyonce in 2013. The next ones were fine (I really enjoyed coldplay) but we need a groundbreaking show. Rihanna would be a good choice if she was at least an ok performer

Say that the show is not for YOUR music (also the fact that you are not capable to put together that kind of performance because you don't have the imagination to do that) but saying that It is not for music? It is not for the kind of music you do, we all agree. Don't act superior to the people who do other kind of music and are able to perform and express art in other ways than standing up and moving your hands (which is ok too, It doesn't make you worse. But It doesn't make you better either, it is a matter of taste). I don't think she's acting superior, really She could actually know her limits. And the thing is that, really, there's another problem here to. In order to play at the Superbowl, you have to be a singles artist, which let's all agree, Adele isn't. I mean, her singles are amazing and do well, however, she never performs them, like ever. Plus also, the people who go to the superbowl are not honestly there for adele's music. She does appeal to the general public yes, but I honestly do not think the best stage for her is not in front of over a million football fans. While some people do watch just for the halftime show, she probably knows very well that she can't have a big, exciting show. Plus it's not like she needs to perform there. She already has a great many achievements. Not to mention she may have something more important to do that day, like be with her family or something. I kind of honestly think pride is the last thing on her mind when it comes to this. Nor her career, really. She's done well. I think she may plan on being an artist who only releases every few years and may write songs for others now. She can live pretty comfortably on what she has, probably. LUCARTPOP 5,924
She is smart. Because there will be a lot of backlash if she would perform, she isn't what you call that type of entertainer that does it with the clothes, hair, visuals, etc. Hopefully a good ass pop star will do it next year, not here for some wack ass vocals though. Bt1 5,213
Yes, cause all the people do at Adele concerts is crying for 2 hours. She clearly could have made a very entertaining 12 minutes and she is the hottest start on the planet, so Super Bowl tried their best. That she refused is another discussion. Its insane that there is a singer in this age who could say no to a thing like this. Congratulations.

She has more no1s than Gaga. It was only her choice to let Hello as the only superhit from this era, like its her choice to go over promoting a song and promote an album. I think Gaga tried it too, with all the medley from her career. Everyone likes Adele in some way. Super Bowl invited her and Super Bowl fans would have love it. Its was her decision to say no and its amazing that in this age there is a singer who can say no to Super Bowl. Thats what we should have talk in this topic, not the non-sense that I read. I don't think she honestly like putting focus on one song, and I also just don't think she wants to perform. everyone may like Adele in some way, however that doesn't mean they think she is good for the superbowl. uo111 5,266
Rolling in the Deep and Set Fire to the Rain could've been great songs for the superbowl, but that's it really. It's a good choice for her right noe I think.

Luiz 4,253
THANK YOU this show is not about music. **** the superbowl halftime show just play football dammit. we dont need pop stars out there ruining the vibe of Gameday if there is any music played at the halftime show it should be something fit for violence I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.
