BuzzcutSeason 3,307
this is a problem we haven't talked about because most of us aren't worried but does anyone think LG5s lead single (releasing august 19th) will have a really huge streaming struggle. I think it automatically will be a problem but do you guys think she'll be able to debut top 10 without a video just having streaming power? Make Top 50 on spotify? In comparison Katy had an apple exclusive with Rise so there wasn't a rush on spotify, it was released on spotify a week or 2 later but i'm not sure if it even cracked the top 100 yet. What do you guys think? Will gaga make a comeback with streams? Spoiler For those who don't know streaming is spotify/google play/apple music/youtube (official audio/music videos) Spoiler And before i get a bunch of posts saying charts don't matter and the music is amazing etc etc OBVIOUSLY this is true but this is about that and her comeback
Dorothy Gale 7,575
I think her streaming power will return after she starts releasing music more regularly. The AP video drought along with BTW era-AP gap hurt her streaming power. I'm pretty sure AHS will help her if it premieres in September, and promo of course. Morphine Prince 101,151
Katy hasn't cracked the Top 50 on Spotify yet with Rise. That song got 2 videos and a performance in front of like 25 million people at the DNC. Britney's "Make Me" hasn't either unless I'm mistaken. Gaga's streaming "power" is an issue. This is new for us Gaga fans because streaming BLEW UP in 2014 it seems and our last album was in 2013 and even though streaming was a factor, it's much larger now. But you'll see differences in Spotify's Top 50 songs and iTunes' Top 50 songs.
homomo 23,830
If the music is good and people talk about it, I'm sure it shouldn't be an issue. 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111
Dangerous Man 9,245
The reason why Rise isn't even in top 50 in Spotify is bc it's not included in Today's Top Hits playlist and other popular playlists. Her label should pay Spotify and add it to those popular playlists. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."

I feel like younger people are more likely to stream while older people actually buy. Just my thoughts though... live and let live

Not exactly true, streaming is more economic for people who buy a lotta music (they have a subscription) or they listen for free. Working people, its also "trendy". From the 18 to 29 is the largest share of users on Spotify tho, so not really the teens.. More like the trendy youngsters
