Americano 31,061
Are you serious? It didn't even take me long to like it, I just did upon first listen. And it's not like you'll deny that the singles management was off. I actually liked all of the single choices. Judas bombed, but it seemed like it would've been a hit. I don't see any way it wouldnt have been released eventually.
jhonyguy04 3
Wide Awake is taking off huge on radio, that's surprising to me. ONE DIRECTION - One Thing: 8.826 (- 0.043) Flop? I dont see wide awake anywhere in top

I hate how EOG was placed right at the middle, almost ending all curiosity, and that it was released at a time when the charts handled many spiking songs. I hate that You and I, a slow song with a slightly specific audience, was released at this point when a mainstream comeback was utterly necessary. Finally, I hate that Marry the Night, a big song that's part of the soul of the album, had to be the fifth as well as the one to suffer flophood. It was #1 on iTunes worldwide. You and I did fine in the US, and needed the album hype/TEOG-tail off to be able to even take off here. MTN failed on its own merits. MTN had the best chance in Europe, so she was smart to release in November when she had promo there. Likewise, it was better to have Yuyi for the VMAs. If MTN was as appealing as WHYB, being 5th wouldn't matter.
jhonyguy04 3
You guys are delusional!! She already has 8 hits from her most recent era, and we only managed to get 3!! And she is about to outsell born this way. The only thing we have is the tour, which we slayed the b---h but still. I am scared.

They had a choice, seeing that they were able to suppress Scheisse. TEOG has this burnout effect for the whole era that I can't adequately explain yet, but I promise I will. Yuyi was gaining on such low momentum. EOG was flopping in Youtube and a handful of songs were doing better in the charts. MTN shouldn't have failed, and it can't just by itself. Not, of course, that I think it should have ever been sacrificed.
jhonyguy04 3
What people don't understand is that the reason YUYI was released is because when the album was just released, it made it the highest on itunes not including the pre-album songs. I think it went higher than hair, which was a pre-album song. let's just accept that mtn is floppy and thats it.

Gaga has Grammys, Katy doesn't Gaga has cultural Impact, Katy doesn't Gaga's BTWB will be one of the 10 highest grossing tours in history, Katy... well... The only thing Katy has that Gaga does not are disposable radio hits that no one will remember in 10 years There's nothing to be scared about :nacho: Edited May 26, 2012 by Kimberly
