Uh, Rihanna has been around for years now. Clearly she has less hype versus then, just like Lady Gaga has less now versus TF.

:awesome:

You in danger, gurl...

Just sayin'

I just wanna say once again, for the record, that I believe 'WHYB' will probably go top 3 in the US. However, (like you said) it's so much like 'WFL' that there's no reason for it not to #1 smash like 'WFL' did.

For a track like this to peak at #3 is not acceptable for a singles artist like Rihanna - especially with promo and what looks to be a kickass video. No excuse.

Truth is, Rihanna reconciling with Chris the way she did, with that "I don't give a **** what you think!" attitude, has damaged her image, and that's why her singles are underperforming.

Marry the Night, the fifth single, had all that and more so what was the excuse when it flopped? #3 would be just fine lol.

It just happens. I do think it will be a success however. :)

They were from her re-release :lolgaga:

Even then, someone many albums into their career shouldn't be held to a ridiculous standard that they need their 5th single to go #1.

Katy/Gaga/Rihanna and even ADELE can't be expected to do that.

:awesome:

Sure had enough to give her her biggest hit to date just last year. :awesome:

Oh, so a lead single = a 5th single? :toofloppy:

BTW was Gaga's biggest hit to date, does that mean she had more hype then versus BR? No.

You can't compare 'MTN' and it's lyrical content (and sonically) to 'WHYB'. :usrs:

Oh, this is gonna be one of those "I know you are, but what am I?" kinda things. Not here for that. :giggle:

So because you think WHYB is #1 worthy, Rihanna is a flop if it doesn't?

Even though arguably one of Gaga's most iconic singles (TEOG) only went Top 3?

How's that Nelly single update Valentino? Flopping below the top 1000 again? :creepflop:

Oh...so what about Edge of Glory? Or You & I? Judas can slide for obvious reasons sonically. haha

again, it just happens.

For a singles artist like Rihanna, a 10th single should be able to go #1...imo.

I'll check. Give me a sec....ir3img.gif

But Loud sold almost as much as BTW worldwide.

Is she a singles artist still?

I don't know why Marry the Night flopped. All of my friends that are whatever Gaga fans (they wouldn't even know a song like HML or So Happy I Could Die) said that Marry the Night was their favorite Gaga song. You and I should have flopped and it was one of Gaga's most successful U.S singles :flop:

You just keep making up reasons to try to discredit Rihanna.

I don't even like her but you're just being irrational.

It's alright, I suppose nearly all of Gaga's singles were flops then since they didn't go #1.
