Personally, I'd be pretty depressed if I looked in the mirror and saw that's what I was going to look like in the future. :eww:

Actually, someone photoshop Gaga in the mirror, that's who she wants to be :toofunny:

I think Gaga's meteoric rise is similar to Britney.

It could be argued Gaga rose to fame with take-over of female acts, with Katy Perry/Ke$ha/Nicki Minaj/Adele. I don't think she's really been alone at all.

I agree. Though Gaga led a revolution in US music towards dance-pop, while Britney was stuck more in a teen pop ghetto. Rap and R&B was cool, and dominated top 40 then.

Well being in my older teens in this era, Britney wasn't the leading force by any means. It was pop phenomena and Britney was simply a part of it. It is just crazy speak by people who were babies during this era to say it was anything else. There was no leader besides the labels trying to find their next multi million seller. It was cheap music at the time and as long as you were cute and had some good producers you were in.

If this is about what we were speaking of earlier, I must still stand by what I, Americano and Ozzysomething support. Gaga's rise to success was the biggest since Britney Spears. I'm talking about these three eras, she's only been around for 4 years and she's already this influential. Britney somewhat had the same effect after her third successful era. xTina's third era didn't start until 2006 and yes it was very successful, but by then Britney already had 4 great eras under her belt and America wrapped around her pinky with the tabloids having her face on every magazine. xTina took a break, therefore we will always see Britney as being bigger early on in her career because she put out more material and had more successful albums.

*dramatic music* ... ...and then there was Blackout. :nasty:

Also, I don't count xTina's Spanish and Christmas albums because, imo they weren't really eras, but if they were, it further proves my point about album success.

Nick's new video is awful. Congrats to Britney on being the highest paid female musician of 2012.

Love Call Me Maybe, hope it will reach the 1st spot :) Hate Payphone.

Nick who? (not a pun)

That was for the past year.

Strangely enough, I hear Call Me Maybe more on the radio than Payphone.

Dangerous Man

HDD says so

While it's still early in the week, a three-way battle is shaping up for #1 between Adele and Carrie Underwood, both of which will have substantial post-Mother's Day drops, and Adam Lambert, who appears to be trending to the high end of expectations.

The former American Idol runner-up and 19/RCA recording artist’s sophomore album, Trespassing, looks set to debut with between 70-80k, which will at least put him in the running for a chart-topping bow.

We will know more tomorrow!

Still that is low album sales for the week.

adele is still a competition............ oh god...

United States (3)

Songs:

226. The Edge of Glory

324. Poker Face

368. Born This Way
