Married the Night 3,955
baby I got that album with a $400 ticket that I prostituted myself for. if that's free then you need to come balance my checkbook, baby. ;) Right. You can justify anything. But can you justify my love?

It's basic economics, you purchased a ticket to see Madonna in concert, you would have paid X amount regardless. It just so happens you get a parting gift.... not a real sale, sorry. And only bc of the small print did Interscope get around it. They learned the cheat when they found out the Best Buy/BTW thing didn't work.
vesp 1
Right. You can justify anything. But can you justify my love? you put this in me. so now what? so now what? It just so happens you get a parting gift.... not a real sale, sorry. The album is included in the price of the ticket. It also stands to logic that the majority of those going to the MDNA tour are going to buy the MDNA album. It's just a convenience thing. I would've been @ a record store though if not for the bundle. Edited April 21, 2012 by vesp

So many reputable sources said that if MDNA got #1 it's first week it would have been from its inflation. And the proof would be from it's second, well and consequently third and fourth week drop offs. It is simple inflation through and through. A great number of people that go to Celine Dion or Kylie Minogue concerts don't buy extra purchases, no matter what promo the tour is for. PF:RR - #23 MDNA - #102 It's sad that Nicki did better than Madonna. Of course, dropping from 3rd to 23rd isn't very good either. Hohum, I don't think there'll be a good pop album this year. And Perez posted two songs that were good. I am crossing my fingers.
00000000 1
I wish Gaga was sassy sometimes. I wish she put out another single just to show that even if it didn't break top 10, it'd do better than the queens MDNA era. But that's not very Gaga. :teehee:

Of course it's inflation, no one's denying that, so was the 99 cent deal but what are the odds that 11k of the 185k (which is what it would have taken to go #1 had the ticket bundle not existed) who bought MDNA tour tickets in excess of $500 would NOT have bought the album if the bundle didn't exist? Please, it was going #1 either way -- it came down to convenience. It's quite like the 99 cent deal. What are the odds that many of those people would NOT have bought the album anyway? Obviously SLIM, but they opted to get it for cheaper because why spend more if you don't have to? Edited April 21, 2012 by vesp

We are talking over half MDNA's sales vs maybe 400k of Gaga's.. It's completely a different deal. Richie deserved number 1, Madonna STOLE it with her shifty sales. But after all, she got hers didn't she? Can we spell EMBARRASSING?
