do you know what monotonous means?

EDIT: or were you talking about it being beautiful? because i can see you saying it's not beautiful over it's not monotonous--one is opinion, one is fact

I thought you were talking about her voice being monotonous, and that's not the case. But the whole album is very similar, if that was what you meant.

not just her voice--it's the same guitar pattern, same keys, same exact backing instrumental in many of the songs, same rhythms, similar vocals.... the entire thing is very stagnant and monotonous.

BBC Three better show Lana's performance at Hackney Weekend (24th June). :crossed:

I agree. Born To Die is incredibly flat.

I prefer what she made as Lizzy Grant. I think her voice and overall sound was less....anti-climactic lol

Born To Die is all about her words and the feeling in her voice imo

Alot of the album is very much (like she compared it to Thomas Newman's American Beauty score) like a soundtrack, and her vocals tell the story of her life. I love the production and everything as a whole, I got no problems with it personally :)

no I'm saying SIRENS is monotonous

I'm not completely into AKA as an album. I listened to it twice and I just don't like it.

BTD is a little stagnant but the instrumentation and production are beautiful :flutter:

I havn't listened to AKA in quite a while actually, I don't know why! I love it so much

also, why is there always a steady flow of people asking for links to AKA? it's really not hard to find at all, try a little website called "Google"
