I was just wondering if the video version of "Blue Jeans" is available to buy somewhere. For some reason I prefer this one over the shorter album version. :)

No but you can rip it from Youtube. Its really beautiful.

Lana used it in her BBC Radio Live Lounge Performance too.

Too bad... :( I'm not so into YouTube rips since the quality of the audio is still 128 kbit/s for the HD videos.

By the way, I am also wondering if this has been brought before: the orchestral opening of the "Blue Jeans" really reminds me of Angelo Badalamenti's compositions for Lynch's "Mulholland Drive".

I recall Lana saying in a print interview that all the comparisons made to David Lynch's movies and especially the soundtrack of them, got her into Lynch / Badalamenti. I am really not trying to accuse her of stealing or ripping-off anything, but maybe this is a little more than just a resemblance.

Well its not THAT similar. Just a bit.

Is she really a fan of Lynch :flutter: ? Never knew that, even I am very interested in her inspirations and idols.

You can't post it , right  ? Would be great.

But wow its cool that she likes Lynch.

I think it was in the German edition of Warhol's Interview Magazine from February. She said something like after many people telling her that the videos and her music reminded them of Lynch's "Twin Peaks", she decided to order the complete box set and was about to watch the show.

Then, in another interview which I really don't remember where it as from, she emphasized once again how inspired she was by Lynch's cinematographic work and by Badalamenti's compositions for them after informing herself about them.

I wasn't necessarily trying to show a similarity between the "Love Theme" and the "Blue Jeans" opening but if you know the soundtrack of the film, it really sounds alike.
