I know it's after the watershed, but maybe that's precisely why LMFAO were chosen to perform on this particular night, when BGT was going to be extended past the watershed. Lana Del Rey sold more than that on her opening week, and she's a new artist who doesn't make generic music, who released her album when she was going through a public backlash because of her bad live vocals and was being criticised for having plastic surgery and for appearing fake. Ten weeks later, she's sold over 415,000 copies in the UK. To think Madonna, a legend, released her album six weeks ago and hasn't even scraped 100,000 yet, despite an offer selling the CD when purchasing tour tickets, is rather shocking.
