At the surface level, it's a song for the Olympics and she looks like an Olympic athlete training. But looking deeper, the parachute represents the struggle that keeps her weighted down... She spends most of the video fighting the parachute. But in the end, it is that very parachute --- the struggle --- the allows her to rise. It's a metaphor for overcoming life's problems by not fighting them, but using them as a tool to become stronger and smarter, and achieve your dreams. It's pretty beautiful, in my opinion! I didn't like the song at 1st but the video makes me buy it. great video but that's an ongoing thing for Katy, right? her videos are always cool and have budget. It's simple but effective. It doesn't look cheap at any frame.
