I honestly do not see another Republican president coming, at least, in the near future. Especially with social issues becoming a bigger deal—which I'm proud of—the Republicans really are just too few steps back.

The good thing about Donald trump is that he likes gay people and that's evident in that he's never been against them and even included them in the RNC for the first time ever. Unfortunately every other republican would try to oppress them though

The polls this entire week have shown Hillary to be ahead.

If he liked gay people then we wouldn't have come out for HB2 (the anti-gay NC bill) and he wouldn't have chosen Mike Pense, a man for conversion therapy on minors (which is basically child abuse) as his vp. He doesn't like gay people, he's indifferent to them.

Don't forget the Republican platform has many anti-gay provisions, including their support for conversion therapy. I don't believe for one second that Trump would veto an antigay bill passed by a Republican Congress. I mean, he chose Mike Pence as his VP.

Well he still mentioned gays at the RNC which nobody has ever done, he is his own person and he could have chosen any republican. They all would have been as bad as pence. Being indifferent is also better than outright discrimination which is a lot of repubs do

But Pence is unique among them in that he actually passed laws to discriminate against gays. The rest might talk the talk, but Pence walk the walk.

I'm not saying I'm voting republican I already am aware that they would completely try to undo the gay rights progress, and also that trump would have to place republicans into open seats in the government so those people would surely be against gays. It's good that trump is not anti gay but that's where it ends. His party is inherently anti gay
