Even so, I think she will work herself away from being pegged as a pop star, and it's not necessary to write songs to be notable or even iconic. Such as Tony or Sinatra for jazz. I think eventually Gaga will be known as a multidimensional, multi genre artist including pop, jazz, acting, probably rock, maybe Broadway, etc. I agree that some of her performances have been one-off, such as Sound of Music, the tributes, National Anthem, etc. But jazz has been with her all her life and she has been singing jazz when she could even throughout her pop career.
