If there are Russian immigrants that cause trouble and/or hate your country, yes, kicking them out back to Russia is obviously the right thing to do. And many other middle eastern immigrants are perfectly integrated. Whoever has more contact with them, will have many examples, just as you had yours. But that's not the point, you seem to have some issue with people speaking different languages and having different religion/culture living in or moving to a Western country. There seems to be some problem with mixing of these white Europeans with those who are "non-white". That's white supremacy and also hypocrisy, because according to you Russians should only immigrate to Serbia or Bulgaria and nowhere else, because of the similarities in language, same religion and culture. I don't have an “issue with people speaking different languages and having different religion/culture living in or moving to a Western country” at all. I believe that people can immigrate wherever they want as long as they contribute to the country they're moving to (= pay taxes, don't live on welfare) and respect its culture. There are a lot of people from muslim countries living in Moscow that I see everyday, but I have literally zero problems with them (in fact they are often nicer and more humble than many native Russians), because they have a job, pay taxes, speak Russian and respect our culture. I just think that it would be much easier to solve the refugee crisis if the refugees were welcomed by countries like Saudi Arabia, which has all the resources to accommodate them and whose language and culture are closer to theirs. But for some reason unknown to me it should be Germany. WHY? Many, many refugees are doctors, teachers, engineers or have some other degree of high level education. However, German law doesn't allow them to work until the paper work is completely done (which can easily last more than 1,5 years) and a lot of work places don't recognize their degrees so they have to either go to school again or get a job that pays the minimum wage. Also, what I think is worth mentioning is that most refugees don't have anything to do until they're legally allowed to work. The main issue of the whole refugee crisis isn't the fact that foreigners** are being taken in but rather the way they are being taken care of after they have arrived. Most citizens show up at refugee shelters and offer their help, but there is only so much you can do when the law is keeping them away from fully integrating into German society. Instead of trying to find nonexistent reasons why refugees are the worst, why don't we just come together and try to help them more effectively so that they really get to know and appreciate Western values? I'm incredibly proud of Merkel for standing her ground and valuing human life more than long term economic problems. Perhaps a little more compassion towards our fellow human beings in need would make this world a much better place. After all, love trumps hate. ** (and I use that term loosely because in the end we're all just brothers and sisters)

No, and that's not an opinion. Free markets will never be able to employ everyone. It's one of ten principles capitalism relies on. There will always be unemployment and Merkel is aware of that. She knows that taking refugees in isn't the best thing to do to boost a country's economy, but the German economy is strong enough to endure a few years of increased unemployment. Countries like Turkey aren't as strong as Germany and it shows in the way refugees are being treated there. Still, they're taking refugees in because it's only natural to offer a helping hand. That's what I meant in my OP when I said that I admire her for valuing human life more than economic problems.

Honestly I think she does that not out of love and compassion but to get more people depending on the government voting for her party, which gives them those benefits. And the fact that the refugees aren't encouraged to find a job, unfortunately, suggests that it might be true. Her reputation has decreased drastically in the last few years and many people who didn't really like her or her party before (like me) started respecting her after the whole refugee crisis. However, her way of handling the past few weeks haven't been exactly helping her in terms of reputation building. Even Obama and other leaders gave a speech before Merkel after the shooting in Munich. I honestly don't think that her party will be in charge for much longer. The background of the killer shouldn't matter. 2. The harassment in Cologne was awful, but weren't by Refugees. It was mainly by German citizens. Wether they have migrant background or not shouldn't matter considering the Oktoberfest is as well know place where harassment happens by ethnic Germans. Thank God it was only a love drama! It changes everything! I'm so relieved! I forgot you can do anything to your possessions. She had it coming I guess ... refusing a love of a refugee, I bet she was just as racist, as I am.
