I support Hillary. Not perfect but realistically the best choice we have.

Technically both sides are pandering, both sides have propaganda.

Witness Clinton's multi-million dollar super PAC "Correct the Record", entirely dedicated to making sure Hillary's name is not besmirched.

"Correct the Record" has 'openly admitted' to hiring fake Hillary supporters at a cost of $1,000,000 and having them go on social media sites like Reddit to argue against anti-Hillary Bernie supporters

*cough* and maybe GagaDaily as well *cough* (hehe).

 

Check out how the mainstream media is all about Trump this, Trump that, telling us how terrible this man would be. Is that appealing to people's fears?

I said "pandering to people's baser fears and biases", not just "pandering to fears"

Also, not all fears are rational or legitimate... The Republican platform literally threatens many people's livelihoods, even the people who vote Republican  Meanwhile, their base is afraid of everyone who isn't a white man.

I don't have a problem with political discourse on the internet. If there are "fake hillary supporters" debating and arguing with Bernie Bros, good tbh. It's definitely not the same thing, a lot of Bernie supporters are young and don't understand the reality of politics very well and can actually be convinced to support the candidate that believes in the same things as them. Also, Hillary Clinton's history speaks for itself, the good and the bad. Anyone who's done their research knows it. You don't have to lie about her history, it's literally all available for anyone to read. 

It would only be "propaganda" if they engaged in the kind of slant, half-truth ridden misdirection that you seem so fond of

Also, mainstream media is Fox News, and Fox News worships Conservatism and lies on their party's behalf on a daily basis

The Republicans have been smearing her since she had high ratings as SOS and knew she was formidable back then if she ran.  They knew they could not beat her.  Give me a break.  I'm friends with many Republicans and have lots of aunts and uncles who are Republicans.  They do not love her and think all Democrats are too left for them.

You said you like Trump in your other post.  There's nothing more to say to someone like you because I can't talk to anyone who is stating such a thing.  The man is despicable.  He made fun of a journalist with disabilities.  He makes horrible misogynistic remarks. He makes racist remarks, on and on

 

She is not a criminal.  Give me a break.   You can have your beliefs.  Trump lovers can't be talked to rationally.  Trying to throw out there in your other comment she was once a Republican.  LOL  Talk about desperate. She was born to a Republican father and changed to a Democrat early on.  If you even took the time to watch Bill Clinton's amazing speech last night, or if you did, you listened with a closed mind, Hillary Clinton has being doing activist type work since in law school.  Saying Hillary is an impressive woman, even from college days, is an understatement.   Like Bill said, she accomplished more by 30 in the form of public service and helping to make change than most will in their whole lives.  Bill Clinton gave everyone a glimpse into Hillary as a young college student and everything she has accomplished since then.  He is right.  The Republicans want you to see a cartoon of HIllary, not the real person.  They are afraid of the real person, because she will beat them come November.

Bill Clinton didn't know it, but he created the next hashtag for Hillary.  #TheRealOne.  It's taken hold already.

Bill Clinton is still a hell of a storyteller. He dove into the elaborate biography of a woman who spent most of her professional life trying to troubleshoot crazy crap at Yale–New Haven Hospital, at the Children’s Defense Fund in D.C., for children denied equal access to education in Alabama, for voters in Texas and juveniles incarcerated in South Carolina, and for kids trying to access schools in Massachusetts. And then more and more and more. No credit. In a strange way it was a woman’s story, told the way a woman would tell it: long on detail, short on ego. Sure Bill Clinton name-checked half the states in the convention hall. But that was largely because Hillary Clinton upped and traveled to those states long before young women hopped from state to state to effect social and legal change.

There was a tribute to the birth of Chelsea and an homage to Police Academy movies and a shoutout to the fact that Hillary was the “best darn change-maker I ever met in our entire life.” And then the pivot to note that campaigns and conventions and speeches are “fun” but that the work Hillary Clinton did year in and year out most likely was not. In the half-kvetch of the beleaguered political spouse he warned that every damn dinner and lunch and long walk was all about Hillary trying to “move the ball forward.” Because that is “just who she is.”

And then the sound of rubber hitting road: “How” asked Bill Clinton, “does this square with what you heard at the Republican convention?” And all of a sudden the insane amount of detail in his speech made sense. One version of Hillary is real, Bill argued, and “one is made up.” And he, after a lifetime of marriage, knows the truth. “The real one has done more change-making before she was 30 than most do in a lifetime in office. The other is a cartoon.”

This was the speech of a man who knows that he is on the downslope of an extraordinary career, who knows he’s lived a long and full and blessed life, which “really took off when I met that girl.”  

The best bits? He had some great lines at the end on immigration reform, on caring about Muslims, the police, and young black American men. But that’s not really what the speech was about. No, the sweetest bit came at the very end, when he said: “Those of us who have more yesterdays than tomorrows tend to care more about our children and grandchildren,” and, because of that, he “hoped” we would elect this woman he had described, the way you could only describe someone who had changed you indelibly: “The reason you should elect her is that in the greatest country on Earth we have always been about tomorrow,” and “your children and grandchildren will bless you forever if you do.”

“I met a girl,” Bill Clinton said of this mother and wife and politician we have all been following and misunderstanding and cartooning for decades now. And for the first time Tuesday night, most of us met her as well.

That ain't true. The Republicans would gladly elect a woman like Carly Fiorina or Sarah Palin, or a black man like Herman Caine or Ben Carson.

From what I've seen they are mostly divided on the gun thing. A lot of Trump's policies aren't even Republican. Did you hear his daughter's speech? It sounded like it belonged in the DNC. If Hillary wasn't anti-gun she would sweep this election, but she is, so she won't. It's been the downfall of many politicians.

Politically its blown out of proportion. Both ppl in favour and against act like its the biggest issue on the planet

 

Mean while general crime, healthcare accessibility (or lack of), economic hardship (indirectly) harm and kill many times more people than guns do

 

Its something worth debating... But it should hardly be THE focal point in an election by any means
