This is ridiculous.

People don't get their way so they're going to go against their values just to prove a point?

Hillary's political views are so much closer to Bernie supporters than Trump's.

I just don't understand.

It's like when my mom wouldn't let me have ice cream when i was little, so i wouldn't talk to her for a few hours.

But the difference is they aren't our parents, we are the people and we have a voice. But due to the mess of a system, we must act out in order to be heard

This may work in forcing Clinton further left or it may make her go right to attract new voters, we will have to see but there's potential for the liberals gain ground with this.

Nope. These are hardliners who don't really care about the proposals but more about the person. Most of them would never vote Hillary. This is not going to push her left or right. No impact at all. These are people who never voted before anyways.

Hillary should focus on getting NeverTrumpers, getting her sympathisers to vote and letting Sanders and Warren do their job on the left. Clinton is not charismatic enough and her trustworthiness is way too low among them to convince the leftists herself.

I'm between a rock and a hard place.  I do understand why many say that a vote for a third party candidate is a vote for Trump. I get it, but... it IS that mentality that keeps third party candidates from gaining votes. It's a refusal to seriously consider the policies and proposals of a legitimate running candidate. If I really think Gary Johnson would be better as President than Clinton or Trump, why shouldn't he get my vote? If dissatisfied voters from both parties could unify behind him, I really do think he'd stand a chance. But how will that happen if nobody can agree to do such a thing? Is the nation REALLY in favor of Hillary or Trump?!

Even if a third party were to be so appealing, they would have to become so appealing beforehands. To become so appealing, they would have to become the second party basically, and only a small difference in actual proposals would exist.

For that many people (say 20% of the US population) to unite and go for a third party candidate, this third party would have to be appealing to many people. To be appealing, they need appealing proposals, just like the two main parties. If a third party becomes a major party, it would thus not lead to different ideas. It'd just be the same ideas being proposed by a party with a different name.

The US system is good as it is because it gives everyone the chance to make change WITHIN these parties. If enough people supported Sanders' ideas, he would've gotten the nomination, essentislly making a Green/Independent outsider the Democratic presidential nominee.

The only way in which the system truly NEEDS to be changed, is in terms of financing. Contributions higher than 5K, contributions from companies and contributions from people outside the US should be banned IMO.

That's great, but your side will still lose no matter what. And if your votes don't go to Hillary, then Trump will win. So essentially you're voting for Trump

I think it's great that people want a social and political change, and electing a third-party president may be a huge step in that direction, but this particular race is NOT the ****ing time to do this. We have SO MUCH at risk right now with Trump possibly getting elected. Maybe in 2020 when the consequence of such a movement won't result in a shithead like Trump taking over. You gotta look at the bigger picture at hand right now. Because as corrupt and unfair as the DNC is, electing Trump winning will result is SEVER consequences not only for US citizens, but for the whole world. Now is definitely not the time to be doing this.

More crybaby Bernie Bots b*tching & whining about him not winning!  :smh:

Despite the DNC being corrupt & being for Hillary!  She still won by 4 million more votes, and no amount of "rigging" would have gotten Bernie over that number...  :koons:

Whispering

Progressives that want a revolution should get off their instagrams and start pushing for progressive ideas at the local and state level. They should get out and VOTE, at every election, every year! They should take a page from the Republican Tea Party. The Tea Party didn't think that sitting around booing and signing useless protests on Instagram was going to do anything but make them look powerless. You want power? Get out and get active! Spend time and hours working for the local candidates and supporting state races and VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!

Redstreak

As someone already posted, this just goes to show his supporters are in it for the policies, not the candidate.

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

SKANK

It wasn't long ago that the same people in this thread who are calling Sander's supporters "sore losers" were calling them "conspiracy theorists" for believing the DNC had their thumb on the scale in support of Clinton.

It's sad to see people who are politically engaged and challenging the status quo be dismissed as whiny bitches, sore losers, cry babies, and mindless robots.

So much name calling. :smh:
