This opposition was back in 2005, and he opposed all unmarried couples adopting children. He approved of gay (and straight) individuals adopting. Over the next four years, his thinking evolved to where in 2009, he supported unmarried couples, both gay and straight, in the right to adopt. What does he believe NOW? How will he use his platform as a VP now? If something were to happen, and he were to become President, would he promote equal rights?
