  1. 1. Did Gaga make you someone better?

    • Definitely. I am a kinder and more compassionate person now, and I try to accept and to understand people before judging them. I really integrated the concept of #BornThisWay (and #MusicNotTheBling)

I would say she has definitely helped me to become more compassionate and kind. I always try to think twice before I say something that might be construed as mean or hurtful.

Having said that, that doesn't mean I avoid conflict and I will always express/defend my opinions and judge people that should be judged. There's only so much f*ckery a bish can tolerate. :toofunny:

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

Yeah...not only Gaga, but other ppl, like Sarah Silverman, Louis CK, Joni Mitchell, among others, have inspired me to be a better person...I do know that these ppl inspired me to judge other ppl less...I'm not as belligerent as I once was, I'm not so egotistical to the point of being unable to see through my own BS, I'm more able to understand other ppl's struggles now too (I mean, I was never intolerant, but things that didn't directly affect me, like transgenders' rights or women's rights, went totally over my head when I was younger and now I "get it" - as much as one is able to understand without actually experiencing it)...

I'm still kind of an asshole, though, but it either comes from a place of pure stupidity or from a failed attempt at humor...

I guess what I'm trying to say is I wouldn't credit her for me being an amazing human being (:laughga:), but she was definitely a positive influence...

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

Hard to say. As with every matter, nothing is really b&w, no one is kind/compassionate/mean/whatever 24/7, there's too many dependencies. But I don't think she has made me better in that sense, she helped me with confidence though!

And I don't know if these count but I got into alcohol because of her (and Sia), she encouraged me to work out harder and to experiment with myself.

it wasn't laaaahv

Not really. Her talk about compassion and kindness goes in one ear and out the other.

I'm glad and pleasantly surprised by the fact that the majority of lil monsters have changed for the better :)

I don't know if "being a bitch" is necessarily what should be the alternative option to "being compassionate". Everyone, myself include (and Gaga), can be a major major bitch sometimes, but compassion doesn't just mean being polite to people. Compassion is about empathy, and really feeling for other people in a way that removes you from your own perspective and allows you to see situations from another person's sense of view. For me, Gaga has always been my number 1 and I've always kind of felt in synch with her, her mental health, and emotions as a human. As she has changed and her messages have evolved, she definitely opened my eyes to the need to put out compassion and love in to the world and also in myself.

well i grew up listening to her music and admiring her attitude in life so i think it somewhat helped me to be nicer to everyone - from 13 years old, to today (21).

the bullying i experienced from grade school to senior high made me more sensitive and i guess the music and gaga's outlook in life helped me to understand my pain, my struggles, and gave me a different perspective about my life, and everyone else's.

It depends on your definition of what is compassionate etc because although I find myself more compassionate now I don't know if it's because of her. Because I often believe her version of compassion is delusional.

But I get what she's trying to do

Gaga fuels my personal strength to follow me, myself and I. I've always been excessively kind hearted, some people thought I was crazy , or something. Most of my understanding for humanity and the entire world, as a whole, came from years and years of looking up to the person who I admired, the most in my entire life, 'til this very day. MJ. I just don't have it in me to withhold hatred in my heart and hurt others. Though, this does not affect my informative procedures and confrontational abilities.
