Gaga's Listening. You Can't Please Everybody.

This is not a thread intended for my complaints, or anyone else's, for that matter. This is just re-informing some of you of something you seem to forget often.

Most of Gaga's career, she's made her fans consideration one of the highest priorities in the choices she makes. She can only please so many of you, and eventually, she will always come around and feed more than she expected to feed, and you'll guys will be grateful for that (like every time). We sat there for a year and a half harassing ARTPOP's producers, to leak music or high security information. We even trended a hashtag WW to remove Zedd from ARTPOP, because we concluded that he was "homophobic"...

We sat there for over a year, on end, demanding ARTPOP's release/begin. When we finally got it, we complained that she worked with alleged rapists, whom happen to be very dear friends of hers. We then called her a flop for being depressed and making a few mistakes during the era. We then waited about 5-7 months for the final single, and when we got it, we complained that it was a "flop" and that the video was too long, and that the song sucked. 

We are sitting here, now, demanding LG5, but who's to say that half of us won't walk away, when she begins LG5's (I'm starting to think that's the name of the album)?

I'm sure Gaga hears all of us and knows that we are waiting for her, but at the end of the day, she's only one woman, and she's going to take her time to make sure she won't repeat past mistakes, because SHE DOES love us and she does care and she IS appreciative. I'm almost certain that when LG5 starts, we'll forget about this whole silent hiatus filled with pop forums turning into politic wars and such. At the end of the day, we need to remember which fanbase is, has been and WILL ALWAYS be the most authentic and the most familia. 

 

For anyone who may need to hear this, in their current time in life's situations-

I know you're going through a tough time, right now, but a flower is in the dark before it reaches the sunlight. Take care of yourself, I love you, and if you're ever needing to talk to someone, i'm here.

Yeah I agree. I only want Gaga to do whatever the **** she wants. I mean, she seems so ****ing happy. We all should also learn that obsessing over a release is unhealthy. I mean obviously hype and anticipation is okay, but over thinking some stuff can lead to ugly stuff, so lets all chill and give peace a chance.

She got "Mother Monster" tattoo'd to her ages ago, I wouldn't be surprised if it's called that :P nah haha but still though, I agree with EVERYTHING you've said, like she even gets tattoo's to honour us and that's the way we treat her? There are some LM's that should honestly be ashamed she works so hard for us every single day and a lot of people are so unappreciative because she won't send out a god damn tweet like calm the F down and shut up and just wait and be grateful for everything else we have...

I couldn't believe Monsters during the ARTPOP era. I've never seen people behave so ugly in my entire life. That's all I'll say on that.

As she says in the Born This Way Ball.... once the curtain falls.... some will stand by her forever, but some, she knows, may betray her. 

Love you always Gaga, you're the light for my broken and damaged soul and I'll always care about you to your core and honour your passion and love you spread throughout this Monster kingdom, even if sometimes it goes unappreciated.

I'm starting to see her eras as less of a community-building experience, and more of a purge and cleanse.

Each time she releases an album, old fans leave, and new fans arrive. 

You're so right though! The amount of variance between what each fan wants from her is insane. You have people wanting everything from the bubblegum EDM she started with 8 years ago, to heavy metal, to groovy disco. You have people who hate each look, and who love each look. 

And it's all just because she does so much with her sound and look. She experiments with ev-er-y-thing.

Just think about how different each era was, how she gained fans from each era, and how the fans from each era want her to keep doing what they fell in love with. There's too much differing opinion now for her to pay attention.

One of the things that bothers me is the way her haters constantly say she panders to her fans...since 2013 its been the opposite bordering on vindictive! 

Even after 8 months of begging tweets and requests at every meet and greet she didn't release a dvd of artrave or at the very least put it on amazon, netflix or hulu...and then to put salt into the wound released one for cheek to cheek that no one asked for! 

Let alone her being heavily online during december 2013 reading thousands of pleading messages and still couldnt bring her self to self fund (this is a woman worth 200m plus) a simple solo reshoot of dwyw. 

Then there was the taunting of us with partynauous...still didnt get that one?? Would meteors fall from the sky and babies die if she put 1 or 2 damn unreleased tracks on soundcloud or youtube. She's overly controlling over her material...she should be like Bowie or Prince and be as laid back, creative and prolific as possible. Put music first, treat it as a vocation and create, create, create. 

I don't think she should pander to her audience but there should be a bit of give and take. It's normal that if you let fans down with a video and an app you should provide something else as a gesture. That's normal behavior in every day life too. Don't forget she never apologized for anything that went wrong with ARTPOP all we got was that odd cryptic message on lm.com and a passive aggressive tweet when her fans got frustrated about an app SHE had promised...not us HER. It was like she blamed us for her mistakes.

It is late because, just like with the Applause video unfortunately, I was given a week to plan and execute it. It is very devastating for someone like me, I devote every moment of my life to creating fantasies for you. All my my most successful videos were planned over a period of time when I was rested and my creativity was honored. Those who have betrayed me gravely mismanaged my time and health and left me on my own to damage control any problems that ensued as a result. Millions of dollars are not enough for some people. They want billions. Then they need trillions. I was not enough for some people. They wanted more. I am very grateful to the photographers and designers who have always stood by me to make sure my fans are never aware of the things that happen behind the scenes, but unfortunately after my surgery I was too sick, too tired, and too sad to control the damage on my own. My label was not aware that this was going on. The next few months of ARTPOP will truly be its beginning. Because those who did not care about ARTPOP's success are now gone, and the dreams I have been planning can now come to fruition. Please forgive me that I did not foresee this coming, I never thought after all the years of hard work that those I called friends and partners would ever care so little at a time I needed them the most. Give me a chance to show you the meaning of seeing art all around you. Open your hearts to me again that I may show you the joy of us coming together through our talents, that we are stronger as a unit than when we are alone. i don't see her say "the video will not be released because of technical issues I apologise and the app will not be moving forward because of my previous management" anywhere in that message. I just see a lot of cryptic vague gobbledygook evading the issue and not giving an explanation. She made a choice to put spiting her label and ex manager over her fans in December 2013..it would have been so easy to do a simple reshoot and get on a plane and promote the album but she chose not to and made a bad situation 10 times worse.

@Luke Putres she is an artist who was severely depressed during that time. you can take your "simple" and realistic expectations and "solutions" along with your stancard and burn them. you don't belong here.

It's easier to abandon projects and let people down when you are rich. All over the world there are poor people who suffer from depression but have to keep working otherwise they won't meet their rent or support their family's. I should know I suffer too...when you have responsibilities you have to just suck it up. Doctors won't even prescribe pills unless you are willing to fight alongside them...they don't work on their own.

I'm sorry but if you prefer a computer generated message over the heartfelt paragraph she wrote then you clearly don't understand her and tbh, deserve nothing from her. She did apologize.. and it is clear that the app wasn't complete due to her sh*tty management, if you didn't get that then Gaga's not for you. 

 

 

And holding one rude tweet against her?  She's a human being and doesn't need to apologize for every single action. People have bad days. Empathize.

Gaga used to think like I did...when she performed on idol she had a huge fever, she once gave an interview the day her dad was having heart surgery and she stayed up all night to rehearse for the Brit awards that time...let alone her flying from Europe to nyc and back again in mere days for her perfume launch. She's lost her nerve since those days....sadly.

What about the live stream on Yahoo? It's in YouTube in HD and we can watch & download it for FREE, doesn't that count at all? I'm sure a better resolution is available somewhere which is just as good as the DVD.

What makes you think money was the issue tho? We can't assume it was something so simple just because we don't know about it. Would Gaga scrap a video just because of money? She's not the kind of artist that does videos on a whim and doesn't release it because she doesn't feel like it the next day. She's the type who gives it her 100% to make sure it's out for her fans. It was obviously because of the management issue (that's when she broke up with troy).

Are you serious? There are at least 2 versions of Partynauseous that are out.. one from the ARTRave and the other one with Kendrick Lamar.  And she has put out unreleased material before and AFTER ARTPOP.. Brooklyn Nights, I Want Your Love, Til it happens to you, Rachet. 

Plus there has been plenty of performances, appearances and a whole f*cking Jazz album.. I get that you don't like it, that's fine, but you can't say that she hasn't given us anything between ARTPOP and LG5.

And she does "create, create, create"  You must be new.

Name one Popstar who has done this "give and take" more than Gaga. You're just assuming it's something she should do this, she should do that but based on what? Is she a charity?

Hasn't she given us G.U.Y? A whole 9 minute video featuring two other songs and still that's nothing? What if it was just 1 minute long or what if there was no video at all and the whole era just slammed shut after her split with troy? On what basis are you making these demands?
