I dont know if this has ben posted yet, from EW:

“This is a song that’s been brewing inside me for years, that has finally come to the surface. I was inspired to finish it now, rather than save it for my next album, because now more than ever, there is a need for our world to unite,” the Grammy nominee said in a statement. “I know that together we can rise above the fear – in our country, and around the world. I can’t think of a better example than the Olympic athletes, as they gather in Rio with their strength and fearlessness, to remind us how we ALL can come together, with the resolve to be the best we can be. I hope this song can inspire us to heal, unite, and rise together. I am honored that NBC Olympics has chosen to use it as an anthem before and during the Rio Games.”

Haroon

Listening to it for the first time and loving this  Reminds me of 'Who Am I Living For?' :flutter: It's such a grand and epic song, different from her usual type of singles. So glad they're giving her slower songs another shot :excited2:

So Britney and Katy finally released their first singles of their new eras. And the results are very bland. Britney could not have gone more safe and generic with Make Me. It is quite obvious that she is going after the sound of artists like Bieber and Selena and in general the song sounds uninteresting. Katy on the other hand went with a more cinematic sound but it still has that trendy trap beat. The song is meant to be inspirational but Katy's vocals and lyrics sound forced and in general the song lacks something memorable. From these songs it is obvious that these two don't want to create anything interesting and memorable, they are just here for the hits.

They are both good in their own way.

Rise is more dark and eerie.

Make Me is more fun and carefree.

Stressed, depressed, but well dressed.

Does anybody else think this sounds like a Kesha song?

It's good but a bit forgettable. I can see why it was picked for the Olympics.

Wouldn't put it on repeat though.
