That's clearly not the reason. Why would Belgian attack Paris and not Brussel ? Why would IS have tried to target the French delegation at the Rio Olympic Games if it wasn't for France ?

I can't believe that I'm walking on the Promenade every day and now I can't imagine myself doing this for a while.. I'm so scared to see people that I know and see everyday on the victims list..

Nice is big but the old city is like a little community and we know each other, if it's the neighbors or the workers in the businesses and restaurants..

I feel for you River! I was crying seeing the image and I don't know anyone, but we all go to see fireworks on 14th of July so of course I can imagine the panick when a ****ing truck comes and kill the crowd. It's devastating and even more the reaction of our politician. I am really tired because their actions aren't protecting us but exposing us even more, there is no group effort between all the countries that were targeted by attacks. It is not just in Europe, there is Irak, there is Turkey, there is even radical groups in Kenya and such and people focus on western countries, but the target is everyone that is not ISIS and I wish that our government would put their interets on the side to protect us.

I'm really angry too at the police, they did a shitty work, they didn't protect us, this attack could be avoided if they did the right choices, if they protected the area in the right way! just to hear that they believed him when he told them that he's delivering ice creams is just a big wtf!! don't they have a list of authorized cars?! names of drivers and companies?!  Hollande just need to shut up, when he says that we need to "get used to terror" he's just making us weak and living targets. I don't need him to fight in Iraq and Syria, I want him to spend all those resources in protecting all the citizens of France. Nice have a lot of silent Jihad cells, it's known for 3 years and the majority of people are known and instead of jailing them for life, they are walking between us

It's sad that things like this are becoming such a common part of our world now. Solutions need to be offered and actions need to be taken. It's all well to offer nice gestures and hashtags but they aren't going to prevent it happening again unfortunately.

Information on the truck driver:

French officials identified Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, 31, as the driver of the truck that slammed into a crowd of revelers gathered for a Bastille Day fireworks display in Nice, France, killing at least 84 people, including as many as 10 children.

Paris prosecutor Francois Molins said Bouhlel’s driver’s license and bank card were found in the truck.

Bouhlel, who was living in Nice, was a Tunisian national and worked as a delivery man and had children. His ex-wife was arrested and is being held in custody, Molins said. The AP reported that he was undergoing a divorce, and it’s unclear if the divorce was finalized.

Bouhlel was known to police for violence, theft, and degradation committed between 2010 and 2016. He received a 6-month suspended sentence on March 24 for violent acts with weapons committed in January, Molins said. He was not known to national or international intelligence services and had not raised any red flags for radicalization, the prosecutor said.

The french president supports terrorists openly to overthrow the Libyan and Syrian government and the French prime minister said that he wont stop french jihadist to fight in Syria because the fighters inSyria are not fighting France, they are fighting the Syrian government!

Now, the French government wants to attack Syria and Iraq even though the terrorist is Tunisian with no link to ISIS or Syria! France and Belgium are the leading European exporters of terrorism to Syria and France is clearly a hot bed of terrorism yet no one suggests Syria and the rest of the world should bomb france for their own security!
