Mike Pence is most likely Donald Trumps VP selection. This is the same man that enacted a freedom of religion law in Indiana allowing businesses to deny service to the LGBTQ community. This is after Trump said he was a better friend to the gay community over Hillary.

I thought Trump was for LGBT rights...lol.

This choice shows that Trump approves of that horrendous religious freedom law that targets the rights of the LGBT community.

And in the off chance he does actually care about LGBT rights, he doesn't have the integrity to say or anything about it, hes gonna bend over backwards for the religious right and the GOP :smh:

Still can't believe near 50% of this country would vote for a man who wants to take people's rights away :air:

Nope! Mike Pence is the "safe" choice for the Trump campaign. Mr. Pence has a great deal of experience.

"While Pence is relatively soft-spoken compared with the other contenders for the number two spot, he would bring valuable political experience to balance out the ticket, and conservative bona fides that reportedly make him the favored pick of senior GOP officials.

He would also run on a strong executive record, having overseen an economic recovery during his time as governor of Indiana, cutting taxes and expanding early education funding.

Pence served six terms in Congress beginning in 2001, eventually rising to chair the conservative House Republican Study Committee and serve in leadership as the chairman of the House Republican Conference.

While in Congress, Pence also served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, giving him foreign policy and national security experience. "

And Pence hasn't exactly been a complete centipede:

Sis, even if Hillary were to enact gun control legislation, no one's rights would be taken away to the same degree as what Donald Trump and the GOP are planning.

Nice try though :laughga:

I disagree, everyone's rights would be taken away. "Shall not be infringed".

What constitutional rights would the Republicans take away?

I agree, but to be fair, if you are voting for Hillary than you are voting for someone who will no doubt take away people's right to have a trial by jury, using Bush/Obama's legal loop holes to execute American citizens and those suspected of terrorism via targeted drone strikes. Either way, the majority of Americans will be voting for a candidate who's conviction to civil rights is iffy.

All constitutional rights are subject to regulation, its really not a new concept :poot:

Anyway, by 'rights" (see I didn't say Constitutional) I meant more things like legalizing discrimination against marginalized groups of people and things of that nature,  some of which Trump has blatantly said he plans on doing. Defend that how you like, the government should exist to serve all of its people not some above others.

Sure, she probably will. This was among my main criticisms of Hillary from the start that made me originally a Bernie supporter; she's pretty warhawkish. No candidate is perfect though, so I have to compromise and deal with the dissonance. I can still have priorities in that dissonance though, and I find the scope of what I believe her to be "good on" to be larger than the bad.

A bit more on topic, I did some research and wow, Mike Pence is the definition of homophobic and bigoted.

Could he be even worse than Ted Cruz :udidnt: I'll have to do some more reading, let's see if he can beat "Voluntarily attended a "Kill the Gays Rally" that his dad was apart of" :green:

Not that I would ever vote Trump/Pence over Hilary/TBA, but my gut tells me it is a greater moral evil to run secret assassination programs, then it is to oppose gay rights.

This is the guy that suggested that we use taxpayer money to cure gays instead of funding AIDs research..
