I mean I can argue with you on the whole "it's better than nothing" deal, because what we've been getting is definitely not better than nothing.

Apocalypse was pretty atrocious, just mediocrity in its purest form.

really? i mean, you can't expect them to adapt something as complex as the apocalypse era thing to screen and get something better than this... witewashings of romani and egyptian people aside, why do you think it was mediocre?

of course the argument could have been a little more complex but like i even cried with the film. maybe i was too thirsty for it but idk.

 

butttt please i love discussing this things so tell me what you would have liked to see on it / future movies like new mutants (which i am already disappointed in since apparently magneto won't be a main role on it but xavier will)

No problem, I thought the characterizations were completely and totally sub-par. Specifically my favorite X-Man, Cyclops. 

CBG19 spoke on this, but I guess I can go on it. Bryan Singer CLEARLY has something against this character. Why does he insist on making Scott so goddamn lame. This dude is supposed to lead this team into battles, and he's taken to the sidelines for goddamn Mystique, it's so ****ing insulting to me as a long time X-Men fan.

Also what is this **** where the Phoenix Force isn't touched on at all? Does Singer know that the Phoenix Force isn't Jean's mutation? Nothing is ever explained in that movie, also why was the Wolverine scene even there besides the fact that Singer has a boner for Hugh Jackman?

wow, you do got some points. i think singer did manage scott really badly, yeah, maybe we'll get to see a leader in future movies but so far he hasn't done justice to one of the xmen most important and intelligent leaders.

i agree with the phoenix force. it seems like bryan doesn't know jean is something else than the phoenix force.

the wolverine scene though it was just so extra.

tbh the more i think about the movies the worse i realize they are but i can't help but enjoy them whenever i watch them.

but i'm hoping that some day we get a better direction and a redesigned universe. i can only dream but i'd love to get the uncanny xmen's costumes on screen.

i think they'd bring a new character for this show or someone from New X-Men.

but if they're thinking about bringing back a character from the movies,Kitty Pryde would be an amazing choice.but then again,she doesn't have any fancy powers,and that's exactly what i want to see in this show

Bryan Singer has already plans for The Dark Phoenix Saga. He also said that the next movie will be set in 1990's and in space which is a hint at TDP storyline

And add Gambit and Rogue romance, which think more interesting than Cyclops - Jean Grey - Wolverine ships. :fan:
