Bernie Sanders endorses Hillary Clinton

I was a fervent Sanders supporter, and still am, and I am glad he endorsed Hillary.

Now, it is up to Hillary to appeal to his supporters. I am probably going to vote for her, but she has created a lot of voter apathy amongst his supporters.

Like, I want to be optimistic that she'd get the presidency no matter what- but, that is still a lot of votes.

Her recent speeches have definitely shown much more consideration to that, so I have hope.

edit: I don't want another 2000 election, where the democratic vote was split between Gore and the Green Party candidate.

She will be the Democratic nominee for president and I intend to do everything I can to make certain she will be the next president of the United States.

The primary votes don't equate to the GE. 45% of Democrats picked Bernie over Hillary, and you can't win a general election when half of your base is shaming the other half for not choosing a crook. Not to mention, independents (the people that decide elections in this country) make up a huge part of Bernie's base.

Alienating people will get you now where. All it might do is boast your lame ego.

They aren't attached to him. 45% PREFERRED Bernie. It doesn't mean they didn't like Hillary, nor does it mean they would delegate their entire belief system unto the whims of Bernie.

70% of those 45% are supporting Hillary. They are also part of her base now that he is no longer in the running. They were his base in the primary. They are not his base in the general.

I can see how Bernie's cult of personality may confuse you but no...voters aren't part of a cult. Ideally of course. Many can't think with their own heads. They're the 10% who prefer Trump over Hillary in an ultimate display of hypocritical contextual inconsistency urged on by emotion rather than logic.

The rest go to Johnson, even though they have the complete opposite viewpoint when it comes to economics as Bernie did (unrestricted capitalism) when that was the latter's major platform points so it also doesn't make sense but

Supporting Jill is dumber than supporting Trump although the latter is far more dangerous so I let it pass.

Of course he would. He said this since last year. He would endorse the winner. 

And someone on here told me a few days ago I wasn't sure he would endorse her. I was because I knew he would keep his promise.

12 million people voted for Sanders. Idiotic Hillary supporters like you are the reason people are more turned off by her than normally. 

I've found that it's not even Hillary who I don't like much, it's her supporters like you.

Many Bernie supporters are still refusing to vote for Clinton. In fact, such anti-Hillary statements have been voted to the top of r/SandersForPresident. This shows the majority of ardent Sanders supporters will not support Clinton.
