I love how artists are finally speaking about society issues, it really helps since they have a relevant voice in the world. Like Gagz once said: "I believe that if you have revolutionary potential, you must make the world a better place" :firega:

Random story from my aunt, but it's always been one of the things I loved most about Beyonce...

Back in 2006 (?) I had dinner with my aunt (in Missouri). She knew I was a Beyonce fan and she couldn't wait to tell me this story about her friend from college. I think they were roommates in the dorm? After college, her friend moved to Houston to become a police officer. Houston, as you know, is Beyonce's hometown. Well, in the early/mid-2000's, someone robbed Matthew Knowles home and stole several tapes of young Beyonce performing. But my aunt's friend, the police officer, was the one who tracked down the thief and recovered the tapes for Beyonce & Matthew.

And then ----- as a way to say thank you, Beyonce and Matthew took the police officer out to dinner! The officer said that Beyonce was one of the sweetest and most genuine people she had ever met.

I'll never forget this story. Especially as I watch Beyonce's "Formation" era and all the police brutality situations play out in the media. Obviously, Beyonce is a warrior against police brutality against black lives. And she will use her voice endlessly for justice for black lives. But she is not anti-police. She is ultimately a supporter of peace and justice for every one.

God bless Bey!

i really don't want to put bey down, because i think her post is nice and accurate, but it was clearly not written by her. in comparison, when you read gaga's tweets or IG posts, listen to her interviews or watch her conference speeches, it is so obvious that every word is hers. it just makes me appreciate her humanitarian/advocate title even more: it's honest, genuine, and comes from the heart. :nick:

@T E A for the record, I agree with you. Beyonce and Britney have 2 of the most inauthentic social media presences in the world of pop music today. PR teams running social accounts?! No thank you.

I'll take Gaga's random/insensitive/impulsive #VoteHillary tweets any day over calculated IG posts from a PR team using Photoshop.

I love her more than life itself. We need more artists like this who truly try to improve our world, and understand how capable they are to do it.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.
