In the world of A-list pop veterans, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and Katy Perry are all several years removed from studio solo albums. Billboard doesn’t expect Perry’s next album to drop this year, though we have reason to be more hopeful for the other two.

So Gaga has no female rival this Q4.    (I dont count Britney as threat)

I would believe Billboard than these twitter insiders. Has Katy even mentioned working on new album ? No teasing, no pics of studio work, nothing...

I dont think so. There was some graph of adjusted sales and TF/TFM outsold any Britney album. I believe Gaga´s peak was higher.

GaGa's peak was higher but she lasted 3 years before declining. Britney lasted 6.
