Because #AllLivesMatter was just used as a deflection to stop people from talking about black lives. Of course everybody's lives matter, but the whole point of BLM is that society is treating black lives as if they don't matter. Black men are more likely to be killed by cops.

You don't see All Lives Matter groups marching in the street when another unarmed black guy gets shot dead... Because it's not a real organisation, it's not a group of people that care about actual progress or change, it's a group of people that are trying to draw attention away from the black lives matter campaign.

All Lives Matter are the equivalent of Meninists as a counter to Feminism or Straight Pride as a response to Gay Pride. It's just a bunch of privileged folk trying to bury any discussion of inequality.

but a lot of people are not educated about that, specially artists, they might not know everything, and they are just tweeting their support, and then for support lives they get hate threads? like wtf?? are we that ****ed up as society?  if you want to be taken seriously, educate people instead of attack, it looks like little monsters attackin' someone that didnt agreed with Gagz, it looks that tragic.

Plus, she did used the  blacklivesmatter too :saladga:

it's lovely theat you tweet this but could you please post receipts of a seingle day when cops don't have murdered a black person? thanks

Could you please post receipts of a single line where I said black people don't get killed? I hope you understand that I'm here supporting black people because of these tragedies, instead of supporting my own social group. I care about everyone, no matter white, black, latin, muslim, asian, religious, straight, gay, trans, etc.

Well now I think you are talking about something different then your first statement implied.

Your first statement was "why is everyone who said all lives matters getting so much hate?" The answer is the same as why everyone who talks about meninism or straight pride gets hate.

Then when you said "at the end of the day all lives are important as equals, and nobody should be get killed by ****ing cops or psychos" It implied that you were defending the concept of All Lives Matter.

I think Janet Jackson was ignorant, but I don't think she was trying to de-legitimize BLM. She tweeted support for Black Lives Matter. Considering the amount of space you have in a tweet and the complexity of race relations I don't think these tweets are uncalled for or just straight out attacks... Most of them just convey some sort of disappointment.

Like the first tweet in this thread 'if #allLivesMatter we wouldnt have#blacklivesmatter, u are my childhood crush but u need to wake up" is someone trying to "educate her" and they call Janet their childhood crush. The vast majority of these tweets start with "Honey" or "Janet sis I luvU". Like, these are tame "attacks". People are just criticising her terminology and they have every right too

These tweets show people trying to "educate" Janet which is what you say you want.

i don't agree with the practices the black lives matter movement takes. i agree on the point of the group, but from a group that constantly interrupts speeches & rallies for people who are usually on their side to spew some completely unrelated issue. i can't sit here & say janet is wrong. i understand all lives matter derived from the black lives matter movement by some butthurt people who wanted to feel like victims. but just like how meninism counteracts feminism, i don't agree with either groups. everyone wants to feel like a victim. it's janet's choice to tweet what she wants & the same group that created the #F*ckParis hashtag(look it up) after the Paris bombings has no room to make it seem like she's bigoted & this & that.

I will pass it because this moment is about black lives, but every other day of the year I won't focus on one group

well the the thing is, this happens everyday.

then, maybe -and i'm not talking about janet here- get educated about something before speaking out about it. it's not like these artists don't have the time or ways for understanding what is okay and what is disrespectful.

And I said

I'll focus in everyone

What I'm trying to say is, I will still care about black lives, but I will look at the other groups too. People from different cultures get killed every day without reason, not only one social group is suffering.

Why do people have to be so offended by a tweet?

yes, and Becky G was attacked too for using the same hashtag, when clearly she being young and white probably dont know **** about political/social issues, i was thinking in both escenarios Janet & Becky,

Becky even apologies for that tweet and i bet she'll still get hate

Im latin and gay, so im not what u call white privilege tho, it's kinda cringe when some ppl jump with hate towards someone which uses the wrong hashtag, when they're first intention was just to show some support, i guess that's why artists sometimes don't say **** about social issues .

and well, probably to me it's not a big deal since im not american and in my country we dont face the same social/race issues, in my country there are racist ppl but i think it's not that a big issue like in America, we usually are friendly with tourist and foreigns no matter what they're race is, maybe that's why i see it this way, where 'all lives matter', me as latin and gay i think we all look for the same rights and all be treated as humans, idk

Guess what, black civilians kill cops at a higher rate than cops kill black civilians. Where is #CopsLivesMatter?

This is such stupidity. Nobody should be attacked for trying to spread the FACT that all lives f*cking matter.

And at the end of the day, the "Black Lives Matter" movement is a disgusting and demoralized organization. They f*cking hijack funeral services for the gay kids killed in Orlando to preach their own agendas. They can go f*ck themselves for all I care.

#AllLivesMatter

She obviously means #BlackLivesMatter too , in order for All Lives to actually matter.
