Yeah i suppose that would be the case

Its very possible he closed down or sold off businesses that didnt do well but never claimed bankruptcy on them. But i dont know his entire history so i cant say

But as far as ones hes actually declared bankruptcy it was 4 of them which is a small percentage of whatever amount hes run

May be hard to believe that 1/3 of new businesses fail within 3 years but its tough. U never really know for sure what will happen

That being said, although i dont hold a few bankrupcies against him (normal in his business), I still dont like him.

The point isn't to mock him for having bankruptcies specifically though. It's to show how rash he is in economic decision making.

Perhaps taking a lot of economic risks is OK for a business man but not for a president.

Im aware of that but thats what im trying to say, it doesnt say anything

Big business men are not usually only shareholders of Corporations and well established companies... They buy and start up smaller ones also...

Smaller companies are always riskier and go under all the time...

I dont know the details of which businesses went under... But simply being told that 4 of his businesses went bankrupt doesnt prove hes wreckless thats normal. If the details of his bankrupcies show wrecklessness thats another story

Also theres no reason to assume someone would manage an entire Nation with the same level of risk as their personal finances.

His rediculous speech is a better indicator of that if anything :rip:

They do show recklessness though.

You are right in that they were tied to casinos and those carry inherent risks.

He funded the construction of the $1 billion Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City, which opened in 1990. By 1991, the casino was nearly $3 billion in debt, while Trump had racked up nearly $900 million in personal liabilities, so the business decided to file for Chapter 11 reorganization, according to the New York Times. As a result, Trump gave up half his personal stake in the casino and sold his yacht and airline, according to the Washington Post.

Trump’s four bankruptcies all happened within the past 25 years. That’s a lot, said Stephen Lubben, a leading expert in corporate finance and professor at Seton Hall School of Law. But to be fair, the gaming industry has been struggling the past few years, he added, and three out of four of Trump’s bankruptcies were tied to casinos.

---

It's why Hillary focuses on how he makes poor business decisions with his casinos rather than referring to his bankruptcies.

So you're right I suppose. Thank you for giving me a better understanding of the situation.

Np!

and thanks for info. I didnt really know the details of what his bankrupcies were cuz i just never searched it up. I didnt know if it was large companies, small ones or what they were.

Thats why i said, just being told 4 bankrupcies happened doesnt say much alone. But we gotta dig into the details of it to actually throw in accusations

I for one make it a habit to look at different angles and possible explanations before making accusations

ppl judge stuff too fast i find. A new piece of news comes out in media with few details and people already protest and strongly take a side :air:

a politicians throws in some numbers and people form opinions without realizing what significance of those numbers actually are :saladga:

The biggest downside of democracy is that most average joes just arent mature enough to make decisions on what they support, half the tomes they are lucky to know 1/4 of the full scope of things :rip:

Not at all. I'll be less harsh in the criticisms regarding bankruptcy thanks to you.

Still waiting on his tax returns.
