House Dems Boo Bernie For Not Endorsing Hillary

Sen. Bernie Sanders is still talking like a guy who’s running for president. But frustrated House Democrats — who booed him at one point during a morning meeting — say it’s time to stop.

With the Democratic convention just weeks away, Sanders still hasn’t endorsed one-time rival Hillary Clinton and dodged questions about when he would during a tense meeting Wednesday morning with House Democrats.

House Democrats including John Garamendi of California and Joyce Beatty of Ohio asked Sanders for specifics on when he would ultimately get behind Clinton — questions that were accompanied by some cheers and clapping from other House Democrats, sources inside the room said.

Sanders didn’t give them a clear answer, according to attendees. Instead, the Vermont senator emphasized that elections are not necessarily about winning, multiple sources said, but about transformations — an answer that was met with some boos from lawmakers, one person inside the room said.

"To say, as he did, that the goal is not to win elections but for people to embrace his ideas is disconnected from what we are trying to do here. He had a chance to talk about getting things done and instead talked about prolonging his process," the Democratic source added.

Lol the boos were overkill but did he seriously say that elections aren't about winning?  You can't "transform" **** without winning, not to mention that losing has a damaging negative transformation effect. Just look at the Bush and Reagan eras  

People (mostly the media) called the 15$ minimum wage and student debt solutions recently states as the Democratic goals as concessions to Sanders when they were in fact in Clinton's stump speeches since 2015 when Bernard was still at 9% popularity.

What Sanders doesn't seem to realize is that the train has left the station. What influence he may have had by throwing in his lot with Hillary and working to get Democrats elected to Congress, he has lost by dragging his feet.

All he's doing is inhibiting the healing process that comes naturally after a fierce primary. Not to mention he continues to waste taxpayer money (40$k a day) on Secret Service protections.

Of course the usual GGD Bernie bots will cheer him on.

What part of this makes him a sore loser? Just endorsing her because she's the nom is as bad as Paul Ryan endorsing Trump when he doesn't even like him! If you don't want someone to win don't endorse them. I don't see why that's a problem.

She's pretty awful but no, I'm comparing it to how Paul Ryan feels forced to endorse him because of the parties or whatever. It doesn't matter what party someone is, if you don't like them then you don't have to vote for them or endorse them.

Whether we like someone or not is the basis of the election! Like I don't wanna vote for someone I don't like. And it doesn't matter what party I'm a part of, Hillary is an awful person and I really would like to not feel forced to vote for her. I'd rather have her than Trump but they both suck so hard. And that's why I appreciate Bernie not just endorsing her immediately. She's not a good candidate

I'd love to know your reasons for why she is awful. Please list them for me. Like holy **** I wish I can hear one good reason other than superficial ones or ones from decades ago. Tell me one thing she's done in the past year that qualifies her as awful? 

Your comparison is still inane because the Republican party is known to be the obstructionist conservative party and runs on a divisive platform while the Democratic party is all about unification and progress. Trump is a massive exception and is incomparable.

He doesn't have to like her. Nobody needs to like him either. He's not an average person. He is a colleague and her competitor. He needs to take responsibility for all the bullshit he has spewed about Hillary in the last few months and do his duty in uniting the party against the Republicans.

Quit siding with him just because you like him. Why are you still in primary mode? This isn't about Bernie and Hillary anymore. This is about the presidency.

dont give in to these dumb cunts who still dont understand that bern is not a part of your party. his supporters are not a part of your party. they're done picking democrat and the lesser of 2 evils. he joined the democrats recently to get his name recognized but thats it. 

he has no obligation to support your party and if he doesnt, go cry somewhere else about it because independents dont give a ****. hillary will win regardless and anyone still coming for bernie is just trying to be an asshole at this point by beating a dead horse. its over and its been over for months but the more you put his name in the headlines the more people remember him and his words and his distrust for hillary. the only thing news like this does is give an opportunity to insult bernie supporters and give bernie supporters an opportunity to continue to reiterate why they believe hillary to be untrustworthy. this only breeds negativity and nothing productive other than a nice argument to watch

He is currently registered as a Democrat and is using Democratic resources to run as the Democratic nominee as part of the Democratic party.
