We need to talk about Kelly Clarkson

So I randomly decided to listen to Kelly Clarkson's greatest hits album and I tempered how incredible she is. Not only is every song so nostalgic for the 2000's but they are so incredible.

Like she starts with Since U Been Gone is SO iconic, and then she goes into MLWSWU and I am bopping hard because that song is everything, then she goes into Miss Independent and I am head banging because it is the pop rock I need in my life, and then she starts the iconic hit Stronger which makes me want to kick my stupid non-existent boyfriend out and become stronger, OH and then she goes into BTHE and I am bopping like its 2004, and then she has the nerve to go into Because Of You and you're ready to cry but it's a good cry because this song is everything and got you feeling something, next she jumps into the hit, Never Again, from her incredible misunderstood album, my December, and you are living for the heavy guitars and Miss Clarkson's rock moment, and then she goes into Already Gone and you start feeling because you've been there before and you know the feeling of leaving a relationship for the greater good, next she starts Mr. Know-It-All and you start feeling that girl power even though you aren't a girl and you want to tell some stupid sexist idiot that they don't know you, and then AND THEN she starts Breakaway and you're ready to breakaway from your parents and live on your own even though you know you gotta wait a couple years because you gotta finish school so you can get that $$$, after that she starts Walk Away and your ready to tell your boyfriend to **** off despite the fact it won't happen because you don't have a boyfriend, and then DUWS starts and your having a country moment even though you don't like the genre but you like Kelly so you live for it, next comes Catch My Breath and you live for it because you need that empowerment anthem in your life and your ready to celebrate what you have done, but then she goes into People Like Us and you're like YASSSS Kelly when she does that spoken Intel and then the song starts and you live for it because you connect and your like "YASSSS the people like us should stick together," and then you go into Don't Rush and your not really here for it but Kelly makes it okay, but then she goes into IBHFC and you live for her Christmas moment because even though it's July you still gotta apreciate incredible music, on and then she does that, and by that I mean Dark Side and she slays you and you're ready to tell a guy that he's gotta love you even with your dark side, and then you go into AMLT and it's not your fav but you feel it because it's her debut single and it's cute, next she starts TTWLI and you live for r&b moment because the genre is everything even if this song is a little underwhelming, and next she does it, she does IDNH and you make a vow of chastity because you may be a hoe but this song is good enough to make you find Jesus and stop, and then the album is done and your sad because it's over but happy because it was everything.

I loved hearing her songs on the radio in like 2004. And I don't mean that in a *shady* way, her songs were so fun to listen to when I was little.

Years ago I came across a song on my car radio that if it wasn't for my seat belt I might have bounced out of the car.  I am really, really into power ballads.  I pulled off the road and looked up the station on my phone.  I called them but it was a weekend and I got a recording.  So I texted them, asking for the name of the power rock song by a female artist that they played around 4:40 that day.  Two hours later I got a reply:  "Already Gone by Kelly Clarkson."   I like some of her other songs too.

kelly is a classic case of incredible voice, (mostly) bad material (another example is Demi L.) She does have a lot of good songs, though.

 

I'm glad she finally finished her contract and is with a label that will finally get her creative freedom.
